Great coffee! I would buy 2 bags of coffee when I was in Colorado. I was happy to find out Walmart would deliver this to California.

Lovely coffee. I just wish whole bean coffees weren't so expensive and more available right now.

The positive is they cheap. But too salty

I am a coffee nut. I love my cup of Joe, I also am a big fan of dark roast coffee that's bold but smooth and with a great finish. I have been a Boyer's fan for a long time. I loved there Hawaiian blend. I tried there Rocky Mountain Thunder whole bean coffee and it might be my favorite yet. The packaging is top notch with a thick foil plastic bag with a bendable closure tab to lock in the freshness. I will say getting it open when new is somewhat difficult but that insures the beans freshness. The coffee beans are on the smaller side but roasted to perfection and are nice and shiny from the roasting oils and process. They smell incredible out of the package and while there brewing. The flavor is a nice intense dark flavor but with a very smooth taste as not to overwhelm you. It gives you just enough kick to taste the smokey rich flavor but is smooth and not bitter. It has hints of dark chocolate and a deep smokey taste that's perfect if you love dark roast coffee.

PROS: You can smell the rich coffee flavor as soon as you open the bag. Boyer coffee delivered on its intense and smokey flavor claim without having a burnt taste to the complex coffee flavor blend. Makes a nice strong black cup of coffee as that is the way I drink coffee. 194 degrees water extraction Fahrenheit drip coffee using ceramic dripper was amazing. I like that my order came individually packed with an inventory detail of the expiration date in the future and signed. CONS: I have cut back on my coffee over the years to one big cup in the morning, this coffee would make it so easy to go to drinking way more coffee. This is truly coffee that you will be dreaming about after you start drinking it.

The first thing I noticed was the wonderful aroma that comes out of the bag when you open it. I don't think I will ever be able to go back to pre-ground coffee again. The dark roast is bold and everyone raved about the coffee at our brunch. The bag is perfect for storing the beans because it keeps the light out and can be folded over to get a good seal. Although most everyone loved the dark rich flavor, the next day I used less coffee and got a more mild coffee which I like in the morning. I'd recommend trying it different strengths. I have a coffee maker that allows me to make single cups with the small filter insert pod (see picture). This is perfect for experimenting with different strengths of brew.

Rocky Mountain Thunder Dark Roast beans smell great in the bag. I have a grinder/drip coffee maker all in one. I measured out the beans and pressed the button and waited for the coffee to brew. The taste is a slightly smoky, full flavor coffee that is remarkably smooth. My wife and I really enjoy the taste and smooth drinkability of this coffee.

The beans smelled great, but the flavor we expect just wasn't there. It doesn't have the rich flavor I expected. I tried making it in both a French press and a stove top percolator, but it wasn't special, just the run of the mill regular coffee. Three stars for it is OK.
