I have used it to make smoothies and it works. The bottom is plastic, so it locks into place and I don't have to worry about the blades piece getting stripped, which is what happened with my old one

I love this product because it works the way it's supposed to. It's glass and not made of any chemicals that are harmful and knowing that makes me feel better using this product.

Like a Bear with Vicious Claws
I was willing to give this $25 blender a try if only because I was gonna be gentle with it. No... I've had it more than two weeks. I made a grave mistake doubting its power. It crushes ice and frozen goodies like a bear hungry for a fish dinner. I have made a smoothie every night since I fatefully found this on my doorstep. It isnt just strong but its proven durable and sturdy- I would prefer a blender with a fancier lid and cap but lets be honest; it was $25 for endless smoothie. Yes you have to poke the mixture on occasion... I simply add more liquid and watch it shred everything to a pulp. I will weep the day it dies.

Great blender for the price
I bought this blender to make Smoothies. It crushes ice quickly but will bog down if the mixture gets too thick. But, I think it is a great blender for the price.

Didn't last 3 months. Piece of junk.Thought it might be okay as it has glass instead of plastic,but the motor attachment is plastic and that is what drives the blender and it didn't last even three months. Don't waste your money.
