we bought this because we wanted to try a higher quality than the usual one that we purchase from the farm supply store. Our chainsaw was habing some issues with not oiling properly so we tried this one instead of our normal purchase and we were happy with the results. We actually like that the viscosity of this brand is thicker and better than most of the other watery ones we have tried. during wood cutting season we use the chainsaw daily so the fact that we were able to buy this bigger bottle was definitely more cost efficient for us. great value for the size
Been using this in my mower and other small engines and it does exactly what it's supposed to. Engine runs smooth, starts easy, and I haven't had any issues. Oil looks clean even after some use and holds up well in warmer temps. Good quality for the price and easy to pour bottle. I'll keep buying this for regular maintenance.
The more you get the bat the cheaper it is so what's not to love about this? It's exactly what you need and if you have multiple small engines that need this kind of oil it's your go to. And at the price point, what's not to love. Most small engines you can get maybe three or four of them done with this Size. In terms of Performance and Mileage I'm not really sure if any of that affects it to be honest most small engine are 3 to 6 hp and most of them take the same stuff.
It was made by the company that I was getting the product for. Briggs and Stratton. Because of that, they had the exact amount that I needed for my lawn more engine which is 48 ounces. That is a quart and a half, nobody else sells oil that way so the brand was key.
The preventive maintenance for my 17.5 hp mower was said to require the full container of oil. After draining the oil, I was cautious with the refill amount due to the filter being a smaller size than the one replaced. As it turns out, I was able to use less than the full container and will monitor the engine level over the next few uses.
This is the first time I have bought this oil. I have always used regular motor oil in both my mowers, which is much cheaper than the Briggs and Stratton oil, and have never had a problem. Both of my mowers are almost 15 years old too. I thought I would give this a try this year.
I made the mistake of putting the wrong type of oil into my pressure washer, and I knew I was in trouble the second it started fuming thick smoke. After doing some quick research, I found out that this Briggs %26 Stratton 4-Cycle SAE-30 oil is highly recommended as the absolute best option for these small engines. I immediately drained the old, incorrect oil and refilled it with this. The difference was night and day! My pressure washer fired right up on the first pull, ran incredibly smooth, and the smoking completely stopped. It has been running perfectly ever since. Lesson learned—the quality is excellent, and I won't be using any other brand for my outdoor equipment from now on. Highly recommend!
30wt oil is the manufacturers recommendation for Briggs lawn mowers. Unfortunately this is most often hard to find. I stocked up to keep my 20yr plus mower going. Long life because oil chg guidelines followed.
Great product. Regular 30 weight oil is getting hard to find and this bottle fills my Briggs %26 Stratton 18hp rider perfectly. One bottle does it. But - Buy two, so you have one on hand.
Briggs %26 Stratton means quality. This is the only oil I use in my mowers. I can count on it to lubricate well %26 keep my mowers purring like a kitten. I'm a B%26S fan forever.
