i bought a set of 2, but i didn't realize the lock set wouldn't match. i need the same key for both knobs, so this is something you need to buy in store. I realize now that the option to buy 2 is not actually a set, but rather two separate knobs. Otherwise, these are exactly what you'd expect.
This is a paid review but an honest review. Works as expected and easy to install. Just as a head up, to unlock view the hole, it's not like the old school insert and it unlocks. You have to insert and turn (similar to a key). Not a problem at all but just a good heads up to potential purchasers. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars.
Ordering a 4 pack you would think all 4 would have had the same key but not happening, 4 different keys, if it had been been a sense of urgency I would've sent everything back , trust that these don't actually come as a group but random pick off the shelf and throw in a bag and delivered ,
Bought this when my door started sticking. It's a simple DIY for anyone to do. From taking the old knob off my entry door to putting the new knob on, it's a 10-15 minute repair. It's a nice door knob, look and feel wise. Only complaint is the knob feels like it sticks slightly when you turn the knob to check that the door is locked. That isn't a big deal or a deal breaker for me, but that is why I gave a 4 star review instead of a 5.
Excellent traditional door knob! No fancy locking or unlocking when you don't want it to! When you lock it, it locks. When you unlock it, it stays unlocked! Perfect door knob!
Best lock EVER! IT DEFINATELY WORKS TO KEEP THIEVES OUT!!! I HAVE ONE ON MY BEDROOM DOOR %26 ONE ON CLOSET DOOR!! IF I NEED MORE THIS IS THE ONE I WILL GO FOR!! THIS IS SO TRUE!!!
Easy to install, the price was what I was willing to spend. It's definitely more secure than the one I replaced which had appeared to have had some attempts at picking it open as the inside of the hardware was bent and broken. I had recently tightened the screws on it then it fell out onto the floor when my son came home from school in May. I installed this one about 2 months ago in around a half hour and it has done great and remains strong. I would recommend this one if you need a quality exterior door knob that's easy to install and isn't expensive
I like the matte boack color, overall feel, and look of the door knob, but it was a pain to get it installed. I was replacing a 47 year old bathroom doorknob. The overall issue I had was that the knob itself didn't really want to go together smoothly, so I really had to work with it. After having it in place, I ended up pulling it out again and just rying to get it dry fit and it was still tricky to get it together (which is why I downgraded it to 3 stars). The knob was sticky and was not smooth at all. I put some WD-40 on it and that seemed to help some. I have installed several doorknobs, but this one was much more a pain than any others I have installed. Price was decent, but overall, if I have to replace another knob, I will be looking at other options.
what an improvement over the old brass knob. this was super easy to install and has really smooth action. it looks really nice and it works perfectly. no more rescuing grampa from the porch when the old knob wouldn't turn.
Returned. Was not aware that shrinkflation was hitting doorknobs now too. It was definitely smaller than expected. Honestly it kind of seemed like it was child sized. Just wasn't for us.
