Brinks Steel 48mm Blue Combination Dial Padlock with 1-11/25 Shackle

My son used this lock for cross-country at high school. He's not using to lock up valuables. He says it feels cheap, but he's never had any problems with not opening or opening when it shouldn't. It's a great lock to keep otherwise honest people from opening your gym locker. We paid $11 for 2 pcs, and I consider it great value.

It is an excellent lock for the price, but there is one setback. This product features a combination sticker on the back, allowing you to either write down the combination and remove the sticker or flip it over to reveal the code, which means anyone with knowledge of this lock can unlock it. Does not come with instructions on how to set the combo to one you like.

its a lock but why would u slap the passcode on the back of the lock, as the purpose of it is to keep things secured, not have some random look on the back and open the lock

Has a little play in the dial but overall a solid purchase for the price.

The dial spins too easily making it difficult to consistently open. The dial should have a little more resistance to make hitting the correct numbers more practical.

After having 2 different people try to get it to open and well over 20 tries I finally got it to open and it still does not open unless I pull on it really hard. I would not recommend. The more expensive one would be more worth it in my opinion. I am afraid to use it as I would be worried that I can't get it back open when needed.

Walmart give me a broken lock and won't give me back my money and thy been give me the runaround for no reason

The combination for this lock doesn't open it. I have tried several times, carefully following the instructions on the back of the lock, but it refuses to open - useless!

I have owned several locks like this, and I know how to open them. However, the code for this specific lock does not work at all. I thought I was crazy so I even had my husband try. Not even he could get it. After about 30 tries each, I totally gave up. Always go for the higher quality if you can.
