I've always drank water but I've recently cut out out my one cup of coffee and the glass of sweet tea I had everyday to cut back on caffeine and sugar. So to also cut back on the bottled water, I bought this to filter my tap water. It works perfectly fine just wish there was a way to filter the water faster. Because I drink so much water and prefer it cold, I have to wait for it to chill in the fridge.

This is a good-quality pitcher, and the water tastes fine when freshly poured. However, the spout is always open and has no cover, so the water easily absorbs odors from the fridge or nearby environment. Because of this, the water can develop an unpleasant taste after sitting a day or so.

I bought this because it was on sale, but I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that it uses refillable filters. Less plastic and less waste. Normally you'd be throwing the big piece of plastic filter away every time you change the filter, but this just requires you to change out the little filter bag inside of it instead of the whole thing. The size/width or the carafe also is a bit narrower than the last one I had, so it fits better inside the fridge, even with a 10 cup capacity. Recommended!

If you want to save on refills of filters buy this. It uses pouches of activated charcoal, not a large plastic tube you cannot open. When prompted to change the filter - place a pouch in the tube and you are good. The filters take less storage space and are convenient.

I love buying bottled water. for me, it's just easier for on the go, but i am very happy with my Brita. i actually bought this specifically for my ice machine. it works perfectly for that. it does make the sink water much clearer, and importantly tastes like sping water. I'm also a big ice cube eating fan. The ice cubes taste as good as the water. This is my experience. Hope it helps someone...

Seems like it works quite well so far. Because it reduces limescale from tap water, we use it when cooking, making coffee, or making tea. However, Brita filtered water has a high TDS value, so we filter it again with a different brand of product before drinking.

This is my 1st experience with a water filter. I usually use bottled water. This is simple to use. Had to read the instructions which were clearly written. I keep it on the counter so I'll remember to add water. I use it for coffee maker and to get a glasses of water. Wish it was larger as I like to fill up my 32oz water bottle. Its fills it up just fine I just have to remember to add water - which is now a habit after using it for 2 weeks. It has a green light that turns on when I pour water from it indicating the filter doesnt need changing yet. When it turns red then I know to change the filter, which is easy to do. The filters are a little bit pricey than I like but probably cost the same as buying water bottles. This is great for the environment because I'm not using disposal plastic bottles. Overall the only recommendation I would make to Brita is to use half gallon %26 gallon terminology instead of cups since thats what I'm use to. I'd say it holds a little less than 1/2 gallon ( just a guess). Doesn't take long for water to seep through the filter into the jug so that's nice. Overall I highly recommend the Brita water filter.

Filtered water tastes better than other brands I have used. The pitcher plastic is a bit thin and the first one I got cracked within weeks. The size of the pitcher is nice but the filter and filter mount insert take up a lot of space in the container. Filters are easy to change. Cleaning is somewhat difficult because it is a bit hard to get the filter mount insert out of the pitcher. Also the light mechanism that tells you that the filtered water quality is fading so the filter needs changing stopped working almost immediately.

I purchased 2 Brita pitchers delivered by Walmart. 1 had broken handle, took to Walmart where ordered to even exchange and they would not do even exchange and wanted to charge me $22 more for same product that had just been delivered earlier in the day.
