A Must Have
This is a nice smoke detector for the money. It was easy to install and to test. I can't speak to the battery life since I just installed but don't anticipate any issues. Everyone please keep smoke detectors functioning properly.

The assembly was easy and I like that it came with a battery. It definitely works because it went off when my gas stove was on.

This is not battery powered its battery backup, and hard wired into your home so you need an electrician to install.
