brother RLX3817A 17-Stitch Sewing Machine, Blue (Renewed)

Bought the refurbished machine. It looks like it was brand new, never used. I have never used a sewing machine before and after about 15 minutes I had threaded the bobbin, threaded the machine and was hemming my first pair of pants. It must be a great machine for beginners since I was able to accomplish all that in 15 minutes. The machine runs smoothly, so far it has not skipped or missed a stitch. No problems with the bobbin thread nesting. I recommend this highly for first timers. If I can figure it out, anyone can. It seems to be a quality machine for what it is designed to do.

I don't know how to sow clothes but I've been practicing on how to cut clothes and I've been watching videos on YouTube for sowing and almost all of them are using Brother. it's like growing up with something. when my friend asked me to recommend best sowing machine, I was like the only sowing machine I've ever heard about is only brother machines so I'm going to start my future career with you 'brother". wish me luck everybody.

I have always wanted to quilt. So finally I bought a machine to try. It was a brothers as well but more expensive. It broke down within three months so I got this cheaper one. It's great! I absolutely love it. I was able to give up on sewing due to the last machine being such a nightmare. This one being a cheaper model sews so good. I love it. It's easy to operate. I recommend it to anyone.

I received the Brother RLX3817A sewing machine today. It is a very nice sewing machine. I have been sewing for many years and wanted a lightweight machine. This is just what I needed. It was very easy to thread and I would recommend this model for beginners and even for children to learn to sew.

I am a beginner at sewing and wanted a sewing machine to get started. I purchased this machine in December and have been using it every weekend for simple small products. Comes with easy setup instructions. The machine does well with sewing multiple fabrics together with ease. I am presently surprised with this machine and you cannot tell the difference between new or refurbished. So far I have made fabric tote bags out of duck cloth, a cotton baby quilt, terry cloth makeup pads, and polyester infinity scarves. I recommend this machine (new or refurbished) as it's a great value for beginners.

My daughter has been watching videos about buying thrift store clothes and turning them into something different. My machine has too many options so I thought this would be perfect for her. It was simple to set up and there were multiple YT videos for her to watch on how to set up and use. It's perfect for a beginner especially with the helpful YT videos. My daughter is already working on a dress from a sweater she bought at the thrift store and fabric we purchased. I think all kids should learn to sew!!
