Okay, so, picture this: I'm trying to hang a shelf. Again. Because apparently, my family believes shelves are decorative, not functional, and load them up with everything short of a bowling ball collection. So, shelf needs reinforcing. Enter: this flat corner brace. It's flat. It's metal. It has holes. Riveting stuff, I know. But honestly? It's a lifesaver. Because without it, that shelf would have collapsed faster than my toddler's tower of blocks, taking out a precious vase (a gift vase, people) and probably giving me a concussion. Now, installation? Let's just say I wrestled with it for a bit. Turns out, "easy installation" is a relative term. Especially when you're trying to hold the brace, the shelf, and the drill, all while simultaneously preventing a small human from "helping" by trying to eat the screws. But, I prevailed. Because I'm a mom. I can do anything. Except maybe fold a fitted sheet. That's still beyond me. Anyway, the shelf is up. It's sturdy. It's not going anywhere. And it's all thanks to this little piece of flat, grey metal. So, if you're a DIY-challenged mom like me, and you need to reinforce something that's constantly under threat of collapse, grab one of these. It's cheap, it's easy (eventually), and it might just save your sanity. And your vases.

Great price. Easy to open packaging and comes with needed screws. Overall just as good as flat l brackets / corner brackets that I've bought from a hardware store for more money, so these are a great value. My use was a artsy wall frame for which they were perfect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wasn't sure how I was going to get my picture frame squared and secured to rehang on the wall. These 2" corner braves did the trick. Once squared, I simply marked the pilot holes and drilled with a 5/64 bit. Screwed the brackets into frame until tight.

Over the years, however, I've been consistently satisfied with hardware from Bulldog...these are no exception. Usually, when I'm working on a project and come across a need for something like this, I have to pause and go to the store, so it's nice to have these on-hand for just such an occasion. I can see how these could be used in a variety of applications and I plan to keep some in stock for future uses.

I could not find what I needed in stainless steel so I decided to give these a whirl. I painted to keep them rusting. Time will only tell how well this does. It has been 2 weeks and so far so good.
