Bush's Dark Red Kidney Beans, Canned Beans, 16 oz

Bush's dark red kidney beans are delicious in soups, salads, casseroles, and of course, chili. The texture makes a great addition to salads of all types: green salads, pasta salads, rice salads — cold or hot. These kidney beans also add a smooth texture and chew to a casserole or soup. Just use a bit of all the vegetables you have, ground beef, chicken, tofu, or vegetarian. Then add whatever seasoning you have. Here's what we use: English country stew. Cook whatever protein and onion in large stock pan on stove top. Add stock — get all the browny goodness from the bottom of the pot mixed into the stock. Add potatoes, carrots, celery, Bush's dark red kidney beans and/or navy beans, can of corn (for 'pop' factor), small broccoli and cauliflower heads. Anything you want. Seasoning: parsley, thyme, rosemary, basil, oregano, mustard powder, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and sea salt. For an Italian casserole. Celery, carrots, onion, garlic, Roma tomatoes, mushrooms, Bush's dark red kidney beans. 2 cans diced tomatoes with basil. Pasta water from cooked pasta, if needed. Dried basil, oregano, parsley flakes, thyme, crushed rosemary, garlic powder, pepper, crushed red pepper flakes. Mix everything gently. Put in casserole dish. Put cheese on top. Bake until cheese is golden and runny. It's just taking what you have in the fridge and cupboards and making a hearty meal. If you try these, I hope you like them like we do.

Absolutely great, my go. Delish for Red Beans and Rice, soup, The possibilities are endless. Gone are dry beans. I use to use dry beans, too many beans not softening. Read article, dried beans can be set in storage for YEARS. I like and use many of Bush products. Never disappointed.

These beans were a great addition to my chili soup. The family enjoyed the chili soup. I recommend these beans.

Purchased this to go in some homemade chili and it was a success. Paired with the right ingredients (or seasonings), these kidney beans are great. Will look for these again when deciding to make chili again.

Bush's Beans are the best, in my opinion! It's my favorite brand. I'm glad that Walmart carries these. The cans were in good shape, without any dents, which I appreciate.

We keep these in the pantry because they're so versatile. I rinse and chill them for salads. They add color and flavor to soups and stews, or they're great just heated as a side dish.

This woks perfect for me and my husband as old age has arrived. We can shop at home, drive over and have nice l men pack our car. This is simply the best for us.
