Bush's Blackeye Peas, Canned Black Eyed Peas, 15.8 oz

Black eye peas are delicious when eaten in a casserole, on salads, in soups or as a side dish. Drain and rinse them and season them to your taste. Add salsa, just diced tomatoes, black olives, brown rice, even diced ham or hamburger. Just plain is a good choice for added protein and fiber.

I'm not one to eat black eyed peas daily, but only on New Year's Eve or day, and these didn't disappoint. I love that they are precooked and only needed reheated. I , of course, had to season them up so that they tasted great and me and my son enjoyed them immensely!!

Needed these for Hoppin' John, they're gluten free and I can't trust dried ones in store. I also don't know of any local farms near me (they sure didn't have them at farmer's markets) that were selling these. So I just drained and rinsed, and did them up just like i always do for Hoppin John for NYE. They're bigger sized than the ones with bacon in them. I've been using Bush's beans for Years and I'm going to continue to. They have delicious beans and I'm happy that they're gluten free for my son that has Celiac.

Bush's Blackeyed Peas - canned - have a good smell %26 texture. They taste as good as other name-brand canned blackeyed peas. Also, these are reasonably priced at Walmart online.

I believe Hunt's has the very best canned black eyed peas on the market. They are delicious and they taste really fresh. I usually heat them up on the stove. I add a little bit of seasoning and serve them as a side dish to the main meal.

Nothing special about these. There's nothing really added to them, and plain, but you can't down these beans ever. Blackeye peas ROCK!

These beans were very delicious before they put the word vegetarian on them. I don't know what they changed but they should have left them along. They taste somewhat bland now.

These Bush's Blackeye Peas are convenient to keep on hand and easy to prepare, which makes them a good option for quick meals or sides. The beans are generally soft and cook up well without much effort. However, the flavor is pretty plain on its own and definitely needs seasoning to really taste good. I also noticed some cans had a few overly soft or slightly mushy peas, which affected the texture a bit. Overall, they're fine for convenience and do the job, but not something I'd go out of my way to buy over other options.
