I bought this to put on cupcakes but that didn't work out. I did find some uses for this stuff. I have put some of this gold flake on my nails with a topcoat. So cute! I've also given this to my 5 yr old grandson as a reward for being good. I call it Granny's gold lol. He gets a few flakes in his hand. He loves the stuff. I've also seen that you can use gold flakes with modge podge to decorate things like photo frames vases etc.
This is wonderful for adding an elegant touch to cake and other desserts.
Perfect for dessert/ pastry decorating. Flavorless, easy to work with, looks great.
Why on earth is this product being marketed as a "topper for cakes and cupcakes" when the product is NOT EDIBLE? This needs to be much more clear. I didn't realize until it was already delivered and I looked at the back of the package. I see customers posting pictures of cakes and cupcakes with this inedible metal flake on them. How many children and pregnant women have been poisoned like this?? I'm going full Karen here, but I feel like it's justified. I almost just poisoned my family. Outrageous!
I quickly purchased this item because of a baker's suggestion. However although it came up as edible on closer inspection I found it is not edible and more craft. I don't know when else you would use it I really wanted to give an upscale look to a cake it shouldn't be eaten though
I do NOT RECOMMEND!! Only giving a star because this isn't edible, though it's for cakes. My husband tasted it and said it tastes like some kind of chemicals. Why make a product for CAKES without it being edible? Makes no sense.
“Non-edible” should be one of the first things stated in the online description and the bottle should not be so vague.
The seal was opened! Walmart, please have tighter security measures. I took a photo of how it was opened. No way will I use this.
please do not buy these for dec9rating cakes, cakepops, sweets or any food. It says you can put in the food but can not eat it. So you have to pick it off.
