This is the first time I had used fondant. Glad it was Wilton‘s cause it's a great brand. Use the thin layer of canola oil to keep it from sticking to my rolling pin. It turned out beautiful. The black also does not get on your hands. I was worried about that.
This fondant was easy to work with to make the design i needed. It does dry out quickly so break off a little at a time and cover the rest until needed. We had great results following this method.
I've never used fondant before. I wanted another brand but they were out of stock. This worked out pretty well, again it was my first time ever using fondant. It was easy to work with when I rolled it out and had to knead it a little. It had a good taste to it too.
I didn't feel like making red fondant so I thought I'd give this a try. Hard as a rock. I tried to revive it with little burst of microwave heat %26 spray oil. I could only break it in half at that point. Crumbled. I've reworked 6 months old fondant and this is like cement. I do not recommend. The color is nice too bad it's not usable.
I paid 4.66 for this when i received it it was marked 1.50 and it was extremely hard to work with. Felt like it was more crunchy . So very hard to work with . Waste of money threw it out
I absolutely regret giving this a chance, it was surprisingly in date, but the only usable part was in the middle, the rest was so hard and just crumbled into dust when I tried to work it. DO NOT BUT THIS!!!!
I was not happy with the fondant. It was a 3 months out of date (pick up order)and brick-hard. The color didn't seem to be well-mixed in. It looked more tie dye. I tried rubbing oil into it to soften it. That didn't work. I tried heating it. Parts of it got softer. The part that I eventually rolled out was grainy and didn't look nice. The only nice thing I can say was that the packaging was pretty.
Hard as a rock. Not usable. I'm experienced with fondant and was being lazy about making black so I thought I'd try the premade. Waste of money.
Awful! Hard as a rock! Stick to Wilton for fondant. I'm a very busy cake lady that's made cakes for over 35 years!!! I needed this for St.Patty's Day for shamrocks. Just awful!
I bought 2 packages. Both were completely hard and unusable. I did everything you can do to revive hard fondant and it still crumbled to dusty pebbles. They had NO BUSINESS selling this old, old product. Shame.
