Caldwell E-Max Electronic Hearing Protection Low Profile

Bought these for me when range shooting with the ability to hear what is being said around me, also when mowing I can put my I phone in and listen to music or podcast.

use it at the range works perfectly, i can hear neighbors weed eating 1/2 mile away yet gunshots are muffled to normal talking levels

These hearing protectors are a very high quality and the Walmart price makes them a great value. They work exactly as advertised. Normal conversation with excellent protection when shooting. I can see a deer hunter cranking the volume up to better hear a deer in the brush. Highly recommend!

The headset came with an undocumented feature not present on the previous version of this item (I own the older version as well). It now comes with a stereo input so one can connect an MP3 player, ipod, etc. It comes with a stereo cable too. Pretty cool.

I purchased these for Christmas gifts. I borrowed a pair earlier this year and really liked them so I am hoping they will be a hit

In strong wind the mic doesn't cancel it, however a car door closing will activate the noise canceling so it does it's most important function.

They worked great for one range session, but the next day would not amplify sounds any longer even with new batteries. when it did work, there was a small amount of static when using my cell. I think the designers got together and had a contest on who could come up with the absolute worst place to locate the external input jack. Its on the top of the ear cup totally blocked by the headband. Also, if your planning to use these for home defense situation, there is a red light on the side which could possibly reveal your location in the dark.
