This plastic blow out plug was quickly available and at the right price. We decided to purchase this item with 2 day shipping instead of the alternative metal fitting that was more expensive. This plastic version worked perfectly for our needs. We were able to hook this up to our city water valve and get our 1976 Shasta camper winterized in no time.

I used to fill my all my lines with antifreeze every winter, then flush them out with hundreds of gallons in the summer. This little tool saves me hours of time and a few bucks on antifreeze every year. I have even lent it to my neighbors. The only hard part is remembering where I put it each fall.

Product works perfect. Just make sure you see if you need to do more near the water pump because most have a check valve so does not get all water out of it.

As designed, 1 solid piece of plastic, For the price, worth the risk of snapping of the blow hole. Will be able to use the cap as a hose cover if indeed does break, so that's a plus.

Used this on our tv today and worked like a charm!!

Used a cheapo 12V bicycle tire pump, with the Camco water pressure-governor hose connector. (Both Camco products are available at Walmart stores). Affixes directly and sufficiently to such car/bike air pumps--no need for a special adapter. Probably takes longer than air compressors, but it works. Easier to transport and store this setup in an RV (smaller RV--not much plumbing). Get these (and, plenty of antifreeze, if desired) before they sell out. Massive numbers of RV'ers tend to winterize in Fall. Uncertain of long term durability--metal wins. Used plumbers tape--metal against plastic. Remember to give such a cheapo pump time to cool off--after 15 mins. or so.

Makes it easier to winterize by blowing the water lines out. I also use these for blowing out garden hoses around the house for winter.

I had one of these that I bought like 10 years ago and lost it so I bought this to replace it. Definitely not as good as it used to be. It's cheap plastic, which I guess doesn't really matter because you're only going to use it for a few minutes. But what's an aggravating is there is no threading on the valve where you're attaching the air compressor hose. It's smooth. So you've gotta hold it in place or it's gonna blow off immediately. Which is fine.......if you're not by yourself when you're winterizing and need to go check and see if the water is still flowing out of the faucets. It's annoying because it would've probably cost about another three cents to thread that attachment point. Personally, if I have to winterize again, I'll buy a better one.
