Camco RV Standard Battery Box, Durable Woven Hold-Down Strap (55362)

This box is almost air tight, it has two slits in it that should be safe from the rain, but the holes for the wires you need to drill yourself. It comes with a strap and a couple of plastic brackets. The brackets are screwed down to the floor, the strap goes through them and over the battery box. At the top of the box the strap buckles. It is difficult for me to describe this plastic, but I will try: Its not fragile plastic, its the kind that will elastically bend to about 37 degrees, 45 degrees or more would probably leave a white crease, and it may or may not survive a heavy blow without cracking.

The battery box is pretty basic and well made. I have another Camco battery box that works perfectly on my camper. The price is amazingly cheap and the quality is good. I am using this one to put a smaller battery for my winch as well as the control switch in while in the back of my truck. Keeps water away and everything looks very tidy.

This is a good battery box when you can catch it on sale. Fits a group size 24 marine battery just fine. Mine came with the box and top and it also came with a nice tie down strap to secure it in a boat.

Bought for a trolling motor size 24 lithium battery. Like that the vent holes on the top go sideways instead of straight up, which should help shield the battery from an unexpected rain. Had a half inch of space around the sides, but since this is our first battery box and we are using a lithium battery, I assume that is normal. Our battery and terminals were about 1.5" taller than the box, but the lid can accommodate up to about 2" taller than box. Hard to beat the price. Comes with strap and mounting.

Used for wrought iron double swing gate system backup batteries. Worked out great.

my husband and i are transporters, and needed this for the battery that we have to use on the campers we are hauling. it was perfect

These are nice for the money. Other are other holders that are studied vut cost is also double. I really only needed the straps but could not locate separately at a decent price.

WHO EVER PACKED this order only sent the bottom part, see this is what happens with on-line ordering, it is no way as good as the walk in store the on-line crap has closed down due to lazy buyers with their phones and now forces me to on-line on count of it

Received battery box without lid. Called customer service who sent me instructions on returning the box and they sent out a replacement. I am still waiting on the replacement to arrive. So far customer service was excellent!
