Camco Tastepure RV Water Filter, 6-Step Water Filtration - 2-Pack, Blue (40045)

I used this to filter some nasty, stinky well water. I connected the Camco 1 micron filter to the output and had fresh, drinkable water with no smell at all! Adding a pre filter and the 10 micron upline of my standard Camco 1 micron filter helped extend its life !

I found the filter to be useful for my drinking water. I fill my gallon and 5 gallon containers as needed when camping. The water tastes better than non filtered water. Of course I don't have a water testing kit to see what the end product actually is, so I am relying on the advertised condition from the manufacturer what the water is supposed to be.

I've drank tap water for almost 70 years. Hasn't yet killed me. However, I finally got tired of holding my nose to drink Florida swamp water (ground water), which smells like the south end of a north bound donkey a few weeks out of the year.

This is legit, I used this filter for soft water when I wash my vehicles on the weekends %26 you can tell how much better flow you get. Shii is the real deal!

We hooked both together on the hose coming off the well to fill our pool and it helped immensely! We didn’t have to use so many chemicals and it was less days total to get the water clear. Our water is full of iron here so this was worth it! I gave only 4 stars because it wasn’t 100% clear, but I will definitely be doing this again next year.

Purchased 6/27/2025, installed both on 06/30/2025 it is now 08/29/2025 and it is putting out brown water. Lasted less than 2 months. Used to sparingly water plants and to fill up chicken water. I expected to get at least 3 months out of each filter. So just keep in mind the frequency of use determine how long it will last for you.

No flex hose attachment included. What’s worse, I couldn’t find the yellow dongle attachment for sale on the site. I bought the filters for watering my plants.

Bought the 2 pack. Went to install one of them and it leaked badly around the bottom. I try adjusting it and nothing helped. Put the other one on and it was fine. I did a chat session with Walmart and at first they only offered a refund with no return for 1. 62. The 2 pack cost 30.00. I said absolutely not, like are you kidding me? Then they said the best they could do was 20%... 6 dollars and some change. Nope, told them I would be buying a different brand elsewhere next time.
