the online description didn't give a measured size other than regular. perhaps it said standard. i need exact . it fits 5/8" hose connection. screwed on easily to the medium wt walmart hose ( this hose is navy blue). brass is perfect. plastic is flimsy and breaks/cracks easily in my experience. yes there are plastic pieces on this double hose connector. am hoping it holds up to MN weather. i had this connector at a previous home in WA.and it still works after more than 20 years of use.

It's a good value for the money and brass is better than the regular metal one. For some reason the regular metal breaks easier. I recommend this one.

Leaks pretty heavily unless you add a washer and tighten it to the point where it's impossible to take back off. Even then you'll have leaking, but less of a spray and more of a trickling stream. Get the heavy duty ones that are much more expensive ($20-$40) - they work amazingly well compared to this one. I'm not using any of these any more at my home because they worked so poorly!
