Got a flat driving 2H trailer with horses on. Terrified I would have to unload on a busy road. This saved the day. Easy to back up onto it, lifting tire high enough for a quick change. Life saver!
light weight and easy to store.
It's so much easier and safer to get one tire off the ground with this than a jack. It doesn't matter if the ground is level or soft. It's a bit hard to keep it from skidding on concrete or asphalt, but if you wedge it under the tire good first it will usually stay in place. If you have a second person they can keep their foot against it to keep it from sliding.
I bought this as a gift for someone else// I have one of my own , I had a 2 flats and used this product it make the changing of tire so much easier
Great price and quick shipment. Since the 5 1/2" version/model that I actually needed for my travel trailer was out of stock and not available anywhere else at a reasonable price, I added one inch of rubber to the 4 1/2" model I purchased to create a 5 1/2" lift. This is exactly what the manufacture does! I cut up a rubber wheel chock from Harbor Fright (photo), drilled two holes and attached the rubber piece to the ramp with bolts. Works perfectly.
I really like the Camco Trailer-Aid because it simply does its job very well! It's a lightweight ramp and it's made with very strong and durable material that you can trust. This is an essential item in my horse trailer. Highly recommend this product.
Were full time travelers in our 5th wheel and always conscious of unneeded weight. A trailer jack just too heavy, this fits our needs remarkably well, lightweight and sturdy. Also not jacking properly on axels can do damage, thus alleviates that possibility. Also, can serve double duty in rough terrain to help level. Perfect fit for this traveler.
Works great . ! Simple idea , strong and secure ! .... No more laying on the ground With a couple blocks of wood , stacking them up , and balance a bottle jack lining them up and making sure they are lined up with frame . No problem , quick and simple !
Well built, sturdy. I have a 35 foot camper trailer, tandum axle. To left the tire to replace off the ground I had to add a piece of 2 x 6 under the trailer aid. The tire I was lifting was a bit under inflated so that could have made a difference. All in all, it was a ton easier, quicker, safer then jacking up the frame with a bottle jack and jack stands. I would recommend it, just keep a 2x6 along with it.
Horrible quality! It collapsed the front of chock when I tried to load my 24ft enclosed trailer to change the tire. The trailer maybe weighs 4,200lbs and yes the trailer was empty. If you don't mind possible loosing a body limb or your life I wouldn't buy one
