CAP Barbell Standard Threaded Dumbbell Handle, Black

I've learned all these threaded dumbbells are the same and there is no need to pay $20/dumbbell when the ones for $6 are the same. Great deal, and I'm enjoying the use very much.

The bar is made of solid metal and feels easy on the hands while gripping. The threaded ends on the rod with collar allow easy adjustment of the weight disks and just overall feels better than the original stock bar. Can easily recommend to anyone.

These bleats are used in the company's gym. They're better than the bars that have rubber grips and washers. The guys over tightened the last pair and just tore through the rubber washer. These are metal grips and working out better!

Really nice dumbbell handles. I much prefer these solid, well made, one piece bars, no plastic or rubber parts to break or wear out. Bright chrome finish and just right knurling on the grip portion. Definitely worth the money!

The item that was delivered was in great condition with no wear and tear

Nice chrome finish; happy w/the spin-lock collars (and esp. having two gaskets on either side of the weights to snug things down). The knurling on the grips is very rough; borderline sharp. You will likely want to use gloves unless you like the feeling of the abrasion! With gloves it is a nice feel and good grip. One star deducted for quality. The edge of the spinlock collars were not properly ground and there were sharp metal burrs. Rather than mess about with replacements that might have the same issue I used a small metal file to grind them off. Took about 5-7 min per handle. Now they're AOK. These solid steel handles are now v. nice. They replaced a set of hollow CAP dumbbell handles that were awful cheap construction. For a little more, get the solid steel ones. You'll be happy you did!

The plating on the spin locks flakes off easily ending up getting metal splinters and the rubber washers wear out quickly so the locks do not stay tight. That was easily remedied by getting extra washers and replacing them regularly. Decent value for the cost when compared to fixed dumbbells.
