Carcassonne Family Strategy Board Game For Ages 7+ By Asmodee

Our autistic son loves this game. It's different every single time and doesn't take long to play. It's worth it at full price but the fact that it's on sale makes it even better. Our granddaughters who are 9 like it as well and play with my son several times per week. So enjoyable for many ages.

This is a wonderful family game. If you have more than 5 people my sister recommends picking up two games and combining pieces. If you want to keep pieces separate make markings on the back of one set.

My daughter and I really enjoy the Carcassonne game. What we did not know is that the game is based on a real place. We had picked up the book Complete Book of Marvels by Richard Halliburton for totally unrelated reasons and found a chapter dedicated to this medieval treasure. Check it out on your favorite web search! Bon voyage! The game is easy to learn and quick to play but always different and definitely fun! It fits nicely between daily activities. Most sessions are around 30 minutes. We stop and play then race off to the next task. Visually connecting the next tile to the growing picture can be a challenge but it is a great way to naturally work on observation skills. It is a tile game so each game is completely different. The meeple men are always an added tactile bonus.

Carcassonne is a game that combines skill and luck. It is an excellent table game for 3-5 people. It is well made game and we even took it to the beach for a game night at sunset. You can view instructional videos online and once you catch on, it is easy and you won't want to stop. I do recommend it

Ordered and now received a replacement for the original... Both copies feature tiles that are extremely misaligned making gameplay confusing and frustrating at times. Clearly this isn't WalMart's fault and it looks like they may have gotten a bad batch from the publisher. Who knows how many copies are affected but I'd avoid ordering this game from WalMart for the foreseeable future. Maybe that's why it's at such a low price!

This is a 5-star game, and I have played it countless times, but Walmart's supplier/partner Asmodee does not stand behind their products and doesn't care about their customers. Fortunately, Walmart was awesome. Here are some details. I bought this as a Christmas gift, so it was not opened until Christmas, and it was not until later that we discovered the backs were so faded that expansions with darker backs were not compatible with it. Asmodee refused to help us out in any way, citing their 30 day policy. Walmart stepped in and deserves a lot of credit. So this 1-star review is not for the game or Walmart, but for Asmodee. Beware if you buy from them.

After I ordered these, I received my tracking information. It was from China! Almost 2 months later my games arrived. There was something off about them. Color was all faded, game pieces were different and the artwork was completely wrong. I'm convinced that these were counterfeit games as I own multiple copies already. Very disappointed that this is the direction that Walmart has gone. Returned!
