Carex Soft Grip Derby Folding Cane for Adults and Seniors, Black

I bought it for a friend who wanted it, after my telling her about mine. (I bought one a while ago) hers you had to screw. She didn't like it, so I told her about mine. She's VERY happy with it.

My mother wanted a cane but did not want to be carrying a long cane everywhere. Since it is foldable, she loves it. We ordered it online and had it shipped to the store for free. Great price.

I really like the ability to fold the cane when I'm out and want to put it in a grocery cart, etc or put it in te car.

I really like it, it is a little uncomfortable because I have egregiously large hands and long fingers. It's does its job very well and offers the right amount of support for me. As all canes do it transfers a lot of weight into the wrist and shoulder, but that's simple to be expected, a great product. It also assembles and disassembles extremely easily and well.

I got this cane before taking my 92 year old mother with me to the airport for a flight. It folded quite nicely and fit in my small carry-on. That way we didn't have to put it in the overhead bin. It came in real handy while rolling our big suitcase, toting my carryon and purse and holding her arm. She liked it because it could be adjusted to suit her 5 foot frame.

The only thing I don't like is the "ting" sound each time it touches the floor. I like quiet things especially in my apartment where I try to not bother anyone. To keep it quiet I turn the top piece so the metal adjustment does not go into the holes.

Wish it had a Velcro or other link to wrap around it to keep it closed when folded. Important for carrying on board, for keeping in purse or tote.

Needs a tiedown device instead of the plastic pouch that it comes in. A tiedown strap that's attached would hold unit together when not in use and would simply hang while using cane.
