These grabbers are such a help when reaching for things high up in my cupboards or on the floor. The grip on these is wider than other grabbers and I can pick up larger and heavier objects when using this Carex brand compared to others. They are also great for picking up small items like dropped pills, pins, screws, etc. from of the floor. I don't know what I would do without them!
This grabber has been a great asset for me. It can pick up almost anything from the floor - coins, paper, peanuts, etc. Also great for taking things down from upper shelves. It seems to be well made and should last a long time. I've used it quite a bit
This handy extended arm is great for grabbing items high up. It is super lightweight and is flat enough to keep behind the door for easy access. I recommend the 32" length to be able to reach the top shelf. I also used it to move a curtain that had snagged on the rod, and I moved some vines that were hanging down from a tall cabinet. The possibilities are endless. I don't know why I waited so long to order one!
My brother told me about this product. .I have back problems and picking up my dog's presents had become something to dread. . bending over would really get my back going with pain. I had tried the regular products and I still had to bend. . I got the longest and it is perfect. Also even better. . when you grab on it stays held. . it doesn't fall out one end or the other. If I didn't have a bad back I would recommend this. . when I am done, I put it in a pail of bleach and then water and soap. . I am find uses for inside too. . the grabbing power allows me to get things above my head, bring them down and this holds on to whatever you are grabbing. . almost forgot. you can lock the grabber once you have secured and item so it won't fall out. . for the price a terrific buy. Oh and you don't have to put it together. . it comes ready to use. .
My sister bought me a grabber in 2005 after having surgery, and I used it all the time. It broke awhile back, and I jerry-rigged it and got anther year out of it. I purchased this 32 inch one online and am very happy with it. Here's hoping I get 9 years out of this one.
Thankful to have a reacher for picking things up that I'm no longer able to reach!
I really needed this after back surgery, to pick up items off the floor. But i should warnyou, it is not really strong enough to pick up heavy items it small enough to get small items off the shelf. But otherwise i would be miserable without it!!
I ordered the 32" and the 26" size. They both have a problem with the lock mode. Seem to get stuck in lock mode real easy. I couldn't get the 26" out of locked position so I returned it already. I may need to return 32" soon. I'm avoiding the lock mode on it and hope it hold out a little while. I need it while I recover from back surgery.
It feels substantial holding it but the plastic piece that's built for the wrist support doesn't feel molded to help hug my wrist, I'd have to turn it sideways and then it's only the backside touching my wrist. Then the red button on top to lock/unlock doesn't work. I have to use both hands just to push it and after pushing it to lock Ì can't get it to unlock. I use it to grab a can of cat food and then have to drop it on the floor so my dog cat eat it, she's gotten to where she eats the leftovers that my cat doesn't finish, anyway it will not unlock so I have to just drop it on the floor so my dog can eat whatever is left.
Grabber never worked appropriately out of box for my elderly mother-in-law. Stayed locked in place and would not open. Product felt cheap. I was surprised entirely based on the other glowing reviews. Took back immediately for refund.
