Safe-er-Grip 16" Bath & Shower Safety Handle

Longer version/same manufacturer of 10 year old replaced product - previous item just started losing it capability to seal itself after a week or two on cheap 'luxury apartment' [smh] bath enclosure from the early 2000s [melamine?] - Seal fail only seems to occur at 2 or 3am - ha Old 'uppity' neighbors will likely be grateful but will never express their gratitude, ZFG

We tried cheaper ones that just wouldn't stay secure to our bathroom wall. As long as it is attached to a clean smooth service it will stay attached for a long time. As I age I need the extra security when getting in and out of the shower that this grip reliably provides.

Was easy to attach to wall but make sure you push firmly before you lock it. It has come off for cleaning and then reattached easily. The instructions do state that the tiles must be at least 4"x4" so make sure that each suction piece is fully on the tile or it may not hold.

I slipped in the shower a couple of weeks ago. There were no hand holds. I ordered 2 Safety Grips, installed them, and now I feel secure entering and getting out of the shower. I would definitely recommend these Safety Grips to any one who wants to be more safe in the shower.

I chose this grab bar because it had a large hand-hold area to grab onto and pretty good reviews. I applied the suction to our 4X4-inch bathroom tiles that I cleaned with rubbing alcohol, and so far it seems very secure. One note is that instructions say to use with a minimum tile size of 4X4 inches (so that the suction cup fits completely onto the tile), but on our 4X4 tiles, the inner edges of both suction cups overlap the edge of the grout. This does not currently seem to be a problem, as the bar seems to be very securely positioned, but it would be nice if the manufacturer actually designed the dimensions to fit the 4X4 tiles better.

I replaced my shower doors with a shower curtain and lost the inside stability bars. I needed something to grab onto when I got out of the wet shower. This fits the bill nicely. It was easy to install and the suction works better than I expected. One reviewer said he added some Gorilla Super Glue to the suction cups before installing it for extra stability. I bought some intending to do that, but decided against it in the event I wanted to move it. I've had it installed for a week and it's been thru six showers with no sign of weakening. I don't actually put my full weight on it, but if I had to, I think it would hold. Good product so far.

Doesn't take much to install. Other than checking to make sure it is stable once in a while, there isn't anything else to do. Mine is installed on a solid shower wall. It gives you something to help stabilize you when climbing in and out of the bathtub.

Bought 2 and installed at same time, 1 failed (1 suction cup lost suction) after a while. Cleaned both the suction cup as well as fiberglass surface with alcohol, still failed after 1 day.

Followed directions to the letter, thoroughly cleaned 4” tiles, avoided seams between tiles, and product dropped from the wall within hours, after zero use…twice!!! To make matters worse Walmart will only replace the item rather than allow a return and refund because it was taken out of the box and installation was attempted…but how else can purchaser discover that it's unsafe and worthless? I'll just trash it rather than accept an equally worthless replacement. Positive reviews for this product mystify me. Maybe folks with equally negative experiences are too frustrated to bother posting reviews.

I was having surgery, so I needed support taking a shower and I thought this would be great, however I could not get it to stick firmly onto the tile. It would stay on the wall but once I pulled on it, it would come right off.
