I had a hard time finding a basic thermometer, then found this one. I don't have children at home anymore, and I got this for me. Its great. Love the soft tip and the sleeves. I tried to give this a 5 star review, but the screen was off center.

Excellent thermometer for children!
Excellent thermometer. We bought this for our young grandchildren and it works well, with a soft tip, fast read-out, and an attractive top with a duck's head. The price was great, and we would definitely buy again.

No backlight, on-off button is small and poorly located. I'm a woman with petite hands, and cannot recommend that anyone, larger or smaller, purchase this cute but impractical item.
