No volume control!! It works fine. Kids love it. But there is no volume control at all and it is SO freaking loud! There is constant music in the background. The blaster it came with is pretty aggressive and will hurt if you get hit close up. If I could do this over again, I would get something else.

Item isn't faulty - your kid will not like it
The gun that comes with this toy is inaccurate at five feet away (even for an adult). The game drags on forever because it is impossible to hit the different targets. Was played with for 15 minutes and not again since

missing multiple parts. unable to assemble this item because so many parts are missing. guessing this was sold and returned prior to it being sent to me
