Okay, follow the instructions on the bag, don't over fill with water, shake the bag once a day and don't hang inside a building unless it's a barn or open air shed. For best results you also need to take some heavy duty tin foil ( about a 10"x10" piece ) and make a rain hat for the bag ( think of it as an A frame roof ) so water does not get in. For best results get some sticky fly strips and hang one or two close to the bag but not touching it, change the strips as needed, the bag draws the flys in and catches most, the strips catch the rest.
excellent value for the money!!
Works better than other fly bags I have tried. Great sizes!
I Could Not Fully Gauge The Effectiveness Of This Fly Trap Because The Top Was Broken During Delivery And Could Not Be Hung. I Used It By Placing It In A Container And Placing On An Outside Table. There Is Definitely A Lot Of Flies Attracted To It But They Don't Always Go In The Bag Far Enough To Drown.
I have used a different fly trap and it just does not compare. Attracting flies is lacking. It has been hanging long enough for me to compare. I'm disappointed, because it was priced right.
I haven't actually gotten to use the product yet but I'm sure it'll do fine. My complaint is with the quantity. Yes it says quantity “1” which is fine but the only option to pick says “1 case (8 traps)” which leads one to believe that you'll be getting 1 case with 8 traps. Nope, just one trap.
the stink is so bad, we though there was a dead mouse in the wall of our garage. my garage is large... three bays. i like to keep the doors open during the day because i go in and out through the garage so i hung one of these traps. i never thought another thing about it. the next day i started to smell something. we have had a mouse die in a wall before and i thought oh, no, not again. first i took everything out of the garage to make sure it hadn't died behind something. for three or four days i suffered through the smell until our pest control guy could come out to the house. i saw that the trap was getting full so i took it down to put it in the garbage. OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!! i took it into the woods and threw it there. when it gets cold outside i will pick up the plastic and dispose of it. if you use this outside, the smell may not bother you, but DO NOT hang this in an enclosed area!
