Works great for Fruit Flies. I never had them in the house before, but now I'm on the warpath! This stuff is SUPER sticky, so figure out wear you're going to put it beforehand. You might want to wear cheap gloves to keep it off your hands when you're opening %26 hanging it, especially the first time . Pull %26 turn gently but steadily to uncoil. I use a piece of masking tape instead of the thumbtack, because I don't want to have to stand on a chair to tack it to the ceiling - I can hang it from a cupboard with tape. If there's no easy place to hang it, you can uncoil it, then gently lay it into a paper bowl, a large yogurt tub, or some other disposable holder. Just make sure you don't put it where kids or pets or your klutzy relatives will get stuck to it, because they'll still be there a year later.

These work to catch fruit flies or drain flies

Debarah October 19, 2025

These are the best for fruit flies, drain flies and pesky flies. You can actually see a fruit fly land on it. They are attracted to ribbon / paper. A must have in the summer but this time of year still a pain. So we use til it starts to get cold and they die off. Very good product. No chemical sprays to use with. Just hang and let them work. They are priced very reasonable. Less than a spray. Works immediately.

Raid® Fly Ribbons: The Silent Executioners of Kit

Byron July 20, 2025

In the ongoing war against airborne pests, the Raid® Fly Ribbons emerge as the unsung assassins—silent, sticky, and utterly relentless. Hanging quietly in the kitchen or food prep areas, these paper traps become a deadly gauntlet for flies foolish enough to buzz within their reach. No sprays, no chemicals clouding the air—just pure, patient vengeance. Each ribbon is a battlefield where hundreds of winged invaders meet their sticky fate, turning your kitchen from a buzzing nightmare into a sanctuary of clean calm. For those who refuse to let flies spoil the feast, these ribbons aren’t just traps—they’re the final verdict.

Good Old Fly Paper

anonymous July 26, 2025

Hard to beat the good old fly paper for pesky flying pests indoor. We were chasing several pesky mosquitos around the house with fly swatters with a very low success rate. Resorting to fly paper manages the problem passively. Handle with care - they are as advertised... sticky. Keep away from air currents which made put them into the path of furniture, window casings, even hands. Very difficult to get off the sticky stuff even from you hands. Cheap, easy, effective - but unsightly.

Great Raid Sticky Strips that catch flies and gnat

Anonymous July 22, 2025

For some reason, people around this area started getting those little tiny black gnats inside the homes. I bought these Raid sticky strips that are usually used for flies, but I used them for the gnats. The sticky strips are also safe around food areas, so I don't have to worry about anything toxic. The gnats are really attracted to them (bright yellow strips) and are capturing a lot of the gnats. The pack that I bought has 10 of the sticky strips so I should be able to wipe out the entire bunch of gnats that got into my home.

These wotk very well next to lights and ceiling skyvents in my rv. Pesky gnats, mayflies, skeeters. All are stuck like blackheads on a Biore' face strip lol

Flies are too smart for this.

anonymous August 22, 2025

I have some very annoying flies that got in through an open window and now haunt me in my sleep. I thought these would lure them in and cease their reign of terror. Alas - they are very smart flies - and they simply fly around these and land on the ceiling or wall nearly. I watched on skirt by it, get stuck for an instance and then it gave me an earful about how unaccommodating I am. I worry these intruders are now my house guests and are developing a deeper self-awareness than we previously thought possible Cheap, lots of product included - but for ridding yourself of the annoyance of 1-2 flies...not effective. Likely better in spaces like porches, panties, or kitchens for catching them in swarms where their sentience is dulled.

Flies avoided it

Sandra June 23, 2025

flies weren't interested in this at all, it is a sticky mess i had to scrub walls if it touched them and it wasn't easy or enjoyable i rather pay more for another device maybe just a fly swatter

Flies not interesred

anonymous July 13, 2025

Flies are not interested. I would say 1/10 flies that do land on it by chance may or may not get stuck. I’ve caught one fly in three weeks. Plenty get in the house with my kids running in and out.
