My cats love love love these scratchers and they are getting harder and harder to find. My 2 cats go through at least 2 of these a year. They love to stand and balance on it and it is their favorite nail sharpener. One cat loves to sleep on it, too. Totally saved my furniture.

We just got this and opened it right up. I needed a really good interactive toy to tire out our 4.5 month old kitten at night. So far she hasn't stopped playing hard for 20 min straight. She's fully engaged. Great toy for a great price!
I just bought the 3rd one, and my cat continues to love this scratcher. It's not the 3rd due to quality or the sturdiness. We lost them due to human error. it's long, so he can lay on it comfortably. He puts toys in the area underneath to hunt later. And, of course, the scratcher, that's his favorite part. It's his part of the living room.

I have three cats and only one plays with it and that took about a week of getting used to it. I would say it's worth it for that one cat.
I didn't use this like it was intended. I took it apart and used each piece in a cat perch to keep the cat perch from getting torn up. It fits perfectly in the hammock style perch, and gives the cat something to scratch on without tearing up the canvas material. They like to sleep on it too.
My cat paid no attention to the comb on the scratch pad, but she does use the cardboard part to scratch on. It was cheap for what it's purpose is made for. I removed the comb or brush part since she never uses it, won't go near it for some odd reason.
