Vibrant Life Jute Cat Scratching Post with Built-In Arch Massager, Gray, 17"

This is meant for kittens or mini cats, not the fat ones I bought it for LOL they knocked it over every time they tried to use it in the beginning. So keep that in mind if you have 10lb chunkers like me. 5 stars because I have 3 other cats/kitten that are small enough it works for them. Overall it's held up nicely since I bought it a few months ago and I do recommend.

There are 2cats in the house. one wants nothing to do with it and the younger one Loves it. She li k es taking her frustrations out on it. She destroyed the one before.

Very nice. Cats like it. The only bad thing is the longer screw on the bottom of the scratching post is where the hammock actually sits on. They had the posts reversed when they labeled it for the directions. Looks exactly like the pic.

my cat loves using this on her claws. and she loves trying to play tetherball with the fuzzy liitle ball except the string is so short she doesnt care too much for too long necause it doesnt really move. im still giving 5 stars though because you know what youre getting when you purchase it. and we just made her own little tetherball thing. its probably better for a small kitten. and the price wasn't bad. its been quite a while and still holding up quite well.

I highly recommend the VL Deluxe Arch Scratch Post for kittens and small cats. Older cats and/or larger cats won't be very interested in it at all. If they are interested it would be a younger cat that's perhaps too large to use the scratching post successfully. The scratching post itself seems to be quite sturdy and of a decent weight.

The product didn't hold up to my cat's activity. The small ball on the end of the elastic line ripped open, then the fabric covering on the bottom half of the post came off. I will say my cat loved playing with the product for the length of time it stayed together.

the instructions are in great and a few of the holes were not drilled all the way through the fabric so I had to cut the fabric and the threads on the base weren't the right size to adhere the pole part. the item itself is a lot smaller than pictured.

It was difficult to put together. There were no holes in the carpet pieces to put the screws through. Instructions warned not to put on hardwood floors because the bottom screw will scratch the floor. Why didn't the manufacturer correct that?

As you can see in the picture the base is basically useless. Only actual secure part is the bottom of the scratcher (not the pole). With that design flaw it makes moving it around the house more of a hassle than need be-seriously how hard would it have been to secure both sides? The scratcher itself would not work for my fur babies because when you even press on it lightly they have this one piece that's loose so the scratcher moves down. Add that with the base being as cheap as it is just creates an unstable, small (width wise) scratch surface. I had to cut my own hole in the fabric to get the screw to go through. Instructions had no words, just pictures. Have scissors handy to cut the hole in the base itself to even begin assembling. *In short- Go to Dollar General and you'll get good quality for a decent price. The fact that I paid this much for something so cheaply made is insane.
