These are amazing "fan filters"! I've been using them for years, as the fan draws the dust the filters will catch the dust, in return your home is less dusty and you don't have to dust as much. I always have several (6-13) cats/kittens in my home because I am a foster for cats. Since I've been using these filters there isn't near as much cat hair to be dusted. Just a heads up, run your finger down the "spine" off these filters where the double-sided tape is when installing them and give them 15 to 20 minutes to adhere to the blades before turning the fan on. When you remove a dirty one (30-45 days), be prepared for the accumulated dust to become loose, the sticky side that is applied to the fan will pull the paint off of the blades and leave a sticky residue, so I rotate blades with each new filter and after a few rotations I will take the blades off and clean them with alcohol and/or Goo-be-gone, go easy with any fluids the blades will absorb fluids and cause damage to the blades. Go purchase a set I think they are less than $4.00 and try it out, especially if you don't like to dust,
This is a product I found by sheer luck! I never knew such a thing existed! Haven't had them on the fan blades very long but already the signs of dust removal from the air is a great feeling.
place on top of ceiling fans after major revovation job and they worked great. first time i took them off they were dark brown...they start white, so i could see how well they worked. will continue to use!!!
just got so havent tried yet. looks like picture. will let yall know if any change when i get em put on
These definitely help to keep the dust down. However, it sometimes takes a couple of tries to get them to stick properly.
Always look for this fan filters in Home Depot
Works very well. Have used in past %26 very pleased with the results.
These work great have used them for years
Placement on the fan blade is key. I learned the hard way. By instinct, I originally placed the filter towards the outside edge of the fan blade. For the next few nights, the room felt warmer. Took me a bit to put two and two together. Why did it feel as if the ceiling fan was pushing out less air? The it struck me. I removed the filters and placed them closer to the center. Now the air flow is better.
I *think* this is helping with the air quality, but I can't know this for sure. The way I see it is that it probably doesn't hurt to have this if you have allergies. Yes it might pull the finish off the blade, but it's on the side facing the ceiling that no one ever sees - so I'm not really bothered by that. You can probably make one yourself using carbon filter sheets if you don't like this brand. This is really cheap so it's worth giving a shot in my opinion.
