No complaints so far with the Celestron Travel Scope. It is an amazing deal for $38! You get two eye pieces, a Barlow lens and a Moon filter, a tri-pod and carrying case. I received it in time for the Venus - Jupiter convergence and when I looked directly at the Moon, it was so bright and clear, first time seeing it like that. Can't wait to try it out in the desert this coming weekend!

It's a plastic telescope made for portability, light weight, and probably primarily for children's use. It's not going to be as robust as a milled aluminum tube, not as crisp an image as hand-ground lenses of sapphire glass. I think, even at its original price, there are better materials which could have been used, but it's not too bad for what it is. Otherwise, I am totally satisfied with the item.

I just bought this and could not believe the price for a $100 telescope. I am very happy with the purchase. First word of caution for note, the telescope "finderscope" image is inverted but large tube image is correct, i.e., right-side up. Second, you get a 8mm lens and 20mm lens. Third, there are no lens caps for finderscope. Knowing this, you can make an informed decision for yourself. This is the best deal you will find for a beginner telescope at steep savings. Additionally, there are a lot of items in the bag of this deal. If you get it for $41 (final price), jump on it. Even saving $20-40 on it is worth it! Happy stargazing!!

I am a beginner at stargazing and I did not want to spend a lot of money and this telescope just fit the bill perfectly. I think for $38. The optics are very nice. The tripod is capable of holding the telescope nicely. The only issue that I have and it's not really an issue because I figured you know how good could it be for $38 but the tracking ability of the telescope is or and tripod are not the greatest. But overall I'm very happy.

The telescope isn't what I thought it would be but I realized I didn't understand the marketing of the product. After rereading the information, it's exactly what they advertised, so it's my fault for not being excited for it. With glasses on, it's difficult to view. I thought I could attach my phone to the telescope and I can't.

way to much plastic whereas aluminum would be needed . The dovetail for the mount, plastic. the stalk for the finder scope is plastic. eyepieces are more useful as dust caps the barlow supplied is to much for the scope to handle. with a quality eyepiece and low to mid magnification the scope can perform. i bought this to use as a finder scope mounted on my main imaging scope. the optics are good. the pack this scope comein is the reasfor my low review

Images are surprisingly crisp and clear for a telescope in this price class. As an experienced amateur astronomer I must say I do have other telescopes that are better, but they cost at least 10 times more. For the size and lightweight I am pleasantly surprised. However I did use my own diagonal and eye pieces since most of the accessories that came with the scope frankly are junk. The only piece that is worth keeping is the 20 mm eye piece. Even still a better eyepiece gives you a much wider view, but the included one is adequate. The tripod is a bit shaky but is usable once you get used to how to aim it so that when it is done shifting when you take your hand off of it, it lands where you want it to. But again for the price, you cannot beat this deal. I posted a picture I took of the Moon with this telescope and my friends were amazed. My niece commented that she was going to order one immediately. All in all I am very satisfied and I'm thrilled with the portability and the included backpack.

Ordered this on December 2 2024 did not receive until December 31 so I am truly unsatisfied and disappointed and dissatisfied with the customer service it took them. A week of me emailing them about not receiving product before they decided to send out another and my granddaughter never had her Xmas gift to open when my other grand kids opened theirs so I am extremely unhappy about that I felt horrible

Can't see the sky through it. Just pitch black. Disappointed in this purchase.☹️ My grandkids were so disappointed that they couldn't see the stars at All! I feel like I failed them by buying this product and got their hopes up. Not recommending it to nobody!!☹️😡
