After years of making sauce, and thinking the brand of tomato products didn't matter I switched to Cento brand puree and tomato paste. I'm now a believer. Cento's products made my sauce so much better. lt may cost a little more, but it's so worth it. Hopefully Walmart will keep it in stock.
I lived in PA my whole life and have used another product to make sauce. I found this product when I first came out to WA and it made my sauce taste like back home. I recommend this product.
Love Cento tomato puree. My Sunday sauce comes out the best when I used these cans of puree. I saute onion and oil and then add my meat, meatballs and sausage to the gravy and basil. The house smells so good for 2 hours while cooking. Love this puree.
Nice thick consistency, not watered down and bright red. Makes for a great pizza sauce straight out of the can. Has a slightly sweet taste, I mix in a pinch of garlic, basil and oregano then let it cold steep in the fridge and it's perfect for all my Italian inspired needs.
Mix it up with some paste, crushed tomoatos and stewed to get the base of whatever you want to do with it. Pizza, chili, spaghetti .. you decide.
Superior taste and quality
it tastes like tomato soup. its good and tasty.
It wasn’t the taste of the Cento. off cento I’m surveying on, where I only gave three stars. The cans were delivered to me dented from UPS. This is the second time I received dented tomato cans delivered. It makes me want to just get in my car and drive to the store to do my own shopping.
My can had a huge dent in it.
I pay for this brand to have quality %26 use home delivery for the supposed convenience but more %26 more this is what my canned items look like %26 it is unacceptable!
