I guess it took a while, but my lips have started to hate the "Classic spf 15" ChapStick. Over the past month my lip corners started cracking and haven't let up. It sucks. I don't know what to do now? I'm at a loss.
WHY would you change the formula? I've used this every single night for 20+ years. The new formula is oily and thin and just weird. No thanks. Bye, Chapstick.
Something has changed and I will not be purchasing anymore. I've used daily for 40 yrs or more and suddenly the consistency is different and does nothing for my lips, almost making my lips worse. If this is their way of getting us to use more product for same results it's backfired. Very very dissatisfied. Will be finding a new brand.
New ingredients have absolutely destroyed my lips. Always chapped, cracked the corners of my mouth, bumps below my lips? And leaves a terribly wax coating that lasts for days.
I am begging you to bring the old formula back. I have tried hundreds of lip balms from different brands and price ranges, and I always found my way back to this lip balm. But the new formula is terrible. It's now just like every other lip balm that gives your lips that tight dehydrated feeling after 5 minutes. I will never buy another tube again with this formula. Please listen to your customers.
I am absolutely distraught that the formula has been changed. I didn't even realize that it had been changed until I ordered a brand new refill pack of 12. The new smell is terrible compared to what it used to be, and the consistency is just slimy and gross. When I found this chapstick years ago, I never looked back. Now I will have to explore other brands or hunt down every last tube of the original formula. I hope all these negative reviews make an impact and Chapstick changes back to the original formula or at least tries to make a formula that closely matches the old one. This is just unacceptable to change a product when there is such a loyal group of users of this product.
Just adding to the long list of “bring back the old formula” reviews. I cannot convey how important the old formula medicated was in my life. It was the ONLY lip balm I used for about 15 years. I'd buy a whole bunch at a time, no matter the cost. It was just the best. This new formula is vile. Smells gross, feels weird, and doesn't do anything. New formula is overall vile. I really gave it a good try for a few weeks and it is truly terrible. Chapstick: PAY ATTENTION to these reviews! You are losing SO many customers over this! The old formula medicated was literally one of my necessities in addition to food, water, shelter, etc. (yes, this is *that* dramatic!)
It is hard to find words to express my disappointment in this 'new formula.' I have been purchasing Chapstick Medicated since 1998 because of the quality and fantastic results but will no longer purchase until the original formula is returned. I have wasted money on this new product and now need to waste more money until a suitable replacement is found. The taste is disgusting on my lips and the results I used to see are no longer there. It's a shame that you are willing to lose so many long-time loyal customers by completely changing this product. I'm hoping OraLabs has a suitable replacement.
I have RELIGIOUSLY used this medicated formula for well over 8 to 10 years, and it was GREAT! This new formula has my lips feeling dry. This is probably the worst 'rebrand' / 're-formulation' I have ever experienced. Why did you change something that was working so well!?!? #FAIL
I've used this chapstick my entire life (thanks dad). It is the only one that actually worked for me. This new formula is not the same. For the first time in years my lips actually hurt. I buy it by the 12 pack to stock up and upon trying the first new formula tube I'm beyond sad. Please change it back. After reading recent reviews I'm not the only one that feels this way. :( Now I have all these tubes of new formula that are almost useless. The old formula was great. This...isn't.
