Char-Griller Dual Function Gas and Charcoal Grill

Love it!! I haven't grilled with charcoal in years but wanted to, I did not want 2 grills on my deck. This was the perfect solution. It was easy to put together, we ended up with 2 pieces that did not make sense but consider it a win. The gas grill fired up easily and cooked good. I'm researching ways to smoke and use chips on charcoal side (it's been awhile). The size of both grills is about the size of my last gas grill so no additional space. I'm looking forward to yearlong use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started with the portable and bought this to add to it. It is the only one of this type that is easy to setup a rotisserie. I have done a whole chicken , Cornish hens , spare ribs and pulled pork on the rotisserie. I have a basket for the ribs and chicken parts. I haven't done everything yet but I am working on it. This is the best combo that I have seen and I looked at all of them. I have added a few things to my grill.

While I haven't started using my new Dual Function grill just yet because there's still snow on my patio, this is actually the second Dual Function 2-Burner Gas & Charcoal Grill that I've owned. My first one was left behind when I moved so I had to replace it with the same model. I love being able to have both a charcoal grill for low and slow pulled pork and ribs AND the convenience of a gas grill for when I just want to grill burgers and hot dogs. It's gets either job done perfectly. I don't know why anyone would buy any other grill.

This is an awesome grill. I love to be able to smoke and cook (low and slow as well as high temperature sear) all in the same package. This grill allows the use of flavored woods to smoke, as well as the ability to exactly control the heat (easy to read gauges on both sides) with the gas grill for longer cook sessions. The surface area is good for small and large groups. I love cooking and smoking ribs on this grill! Ordering and pickup at Walmart was a snap, and the delightful young lady at the counter arranged for it to be placed on a cart, and an associate to help load it in my van. I would buy this grill again in a heartbeat! Ordering online and pick up at Walmart was easy peasy!

Well built, fairly easy to assemble...used gas grill side and am very pleased. Would like a small "door" on charcoal side for adding wood/charcoal during grilling. Was a great purchase decision.

i ordered this grill because I was looking for the Gas/Charcoal combo thing for a while now. I found this grill and I went ahead a nd pulled the trigger and got it. I remember some years ago when I first saw this grill it was made of a thick aluminum cast material, now it made of sheet metal. however its quite heavy and well built. I put it together in about 3 hours. I added the smoke box as well because I plan to do some smoking at low heat. II feel this grill set up will work for me because I no longer have to keep the old 3 burner gas grill and the large charcoal grill on my back slab anymore. this doesn't take up as much space.

So far everything is working as expected. I added the "firebox", and it takes a little modification to attach. Also, you have a hard time regulating the heat. I would recommend not installing the warming rack in the charcoal side if you're going to use it as a smoker. It gets in the way if you're smoking a bigger piece of meat.

I bought this for my husband. It was a little confusing putting it together and there were not enough washers included, but after getting it together, it's a great grill. It's gotten used every day since he's put it together.

This grill got completely rusted in a matter of 2 months. Even using their own special cover! ( which leaks and has poor quality) With all the rust 2 months in i got in touch with company to require warranty and the only answer they give me was that i was supposed to buy a special paint and paint the whole thing all over! (2 months of use and that os the answer they give me) Today, one year later, the whole floor of it broke dow. If you decide to buy this product! Put extended warranty because you will need it for sure!
