Char-Griller® Trigger Quick Release Chimney Starter with Heat Shield

My husband has used one like this, but smaller for at least 12 years and has loved it. His is wearing out so I bought him this bigger one for Father's Day. He used this one last weekend and lives it. It was just what he needed. We always grill a lot of food and just the extra charcoal this one gives him did the job.

This is my second time I have purchased this item. It is easy to use and an absolute necessity for an Akorn style egg grill. I use it with my smoker as well. I grill a lot so as with all chimneys they eventually break down, but I used my first one for years before needing to replace it.

This is one of the best Chimney Starters we have purchased. It's heavy duty, larger than most, and having the bottom release for the charcoal instead of the solid bottom is very convenient. Great purchase!

This chimney is awesome! Holds an adequate amount of charcoal. Lights quickly. Love how easy it is to simply dump the coals from the bottom of the chimney.

Good grab, heating coals evenly to white - worked well

Coals are ready in 10 to 15 minutes and it works great.

I like the release button. It heats very quick which is always a nice time saver.

Have only used it twice. Sometimes block charcoal gets stuck but thats to be expected. I have one without the trigger but im giving it to my daughter too.
