You know, I think this is good stuff but they should send like it should make a bigger container. They always charge a lot of money. You know, I think they gotta calm down with their prices, but that's a lot more cheaper companies than those brothers.
This stuff really puts a great shine on the car and it is very slick. I don't yet know how long it will last but, initially, it is a great product. You use very little during application and it is a bit of work but no more so than waxing the car.
I ultimately bought this for my truck but I was nervous having never used it before. So used my 10 year old nissan rogue 2 weeks ago as a test run and was immediately skeptical. I couldn't believe how easy the product went on and came off. This is either the greatest product known to man or it's a complete gimmick. Only time will tell but so far so good my car still looks great and water rolls right off of it still. They say it will last up to 12 months but even if it only lasts as long as your typical wax job it's still a game changer for me considering ease of use. Full disclosure I also buffed and polished the entire car before applying the hyper wax but the finished product was unreal considering the age and condition of the vehicle/paint.
This stuff is king Take my word for it no need to keep searching. This is where it's at. Chemical guy is number one
I suggest watching the video on u tube because you may apply more product than necessary. Hydro Slic has a thick gel consistency but spreads smoothly and wipes off with very little effort. Most of the other ceramic waxes seemed to be more watery. I applied this in November so we'll see how it holds up during the New England winters, so far I am very impressed.
Great wax/ceramic solution. This applies very smoothly and easily, and buffs out just as quickly using only hand power. While I feel its better (longer lasting) than the spray-on ceramic, it's not nearly as good as a real ceramic coat cure. I anticipate applying this 3-4 times per year, whereas a ceramic cure would be once every year or two. If you already have detailing cloths, you can save some money by just getting the liquid over the entire kit, but the kit does give everything needed to get the job done. The car is smooth, looks great, and has water bead and slip off easily. All in all, another good product from the Chemical Guys, but having used a competitor ceramic cream previously, I would say they're very similar products. Would recommend!
Should be stated this isn't a true ceramic coating. Those would cost you at least $100-$200 dollars. While this is technically not 'ceramic' sealant, it still provides decent results and hydrophobic protection. It does contain a small amount of 'ceramic' ingredients, but not in the concentration you'd find in true professional products. What this is a easy to apply synthetic paint sealant that is much easier and forgiving to apply for the DIY types. Good to learn on and does a good job at providing temporary protection. Don't expect 12 months of protection, more like 3-4 months. But its cost and ease of application makes this a reasonable time frame of protection. The microfiber cloth was surprisingly good, as was the cube microfiber applicator. I found it easier to remove the product with a D/A polisher with a microfiber pad, but removing by hand in tight places with a microfiber towel was relatively easy. Do not allow the product to sit too long and you'll be fine. Used this after a 3-step paint correction on a BMW x3 resulting good shine and hydrophobic properties. This will not make damaged paint look new, you have to do paint correction. Don't expect miracles in a bottle, you have to put in the work.
probably the best do- it- yourself ceramic coating on the market. excellent price along with easy to follow instructions makes it a must have for the weekend dyi guy! very small amounts of application, quick microfiber buffing makes it so easy, fast and brings pro life finish! water beads off effortlessly! the only complaint- doesn't seem to last long. if you wash your vehicle a lot, application may be every 2 to 3 months.
I opened the taped box and there was no applicator, only an 8 oz bottle and towel. The box clearly said 3 items, but there were only two. This is not Walmart's fault but the manufacturer. And I know that was not a huge deal for most, but think how much $ they're making by not putting those in each box. It may have only happened to a few or it could have been thousands. I actually thought I was getting a 16 oz bottle of wax, but only got an 8 oz. I will take the blame for that. I have not tried the product yet so can not comment on that. My first impression of Chemical Guys is not good
