Very nice knife set. I put mineral oil on the handles right away and they look and feel great! I recommend a better quality honing steel with micro grooves to catch the curled edges of your knives, like a Zwilling J.A. Henckels. Otherwise this is a quality knife set for the price!

This set of knives is so nice. The set came with a walnut wood block so it keeps everything in its place. The handles on the knives are solid. They have a walnut brown handle and they feel great in your hand. These knives are super sharp,they cut like butter. The style of the handle fit's in your hand comfortably which makes cutting things really easy. This set came with twelve knives which were steak knives, a paring knife, utility knife, bread knife and a chef knife . It also had a sharpener and a pair of scissors. This is a complete set which makes it nice when you need different styles for different things and the fact that everything is in one block keeps your drawers from being cluttered with knives. Whether you are a beginner cook or someone who loves to cook all the time this knife set is for you. The fact that these knives are so sharp makes it safer to cut food. The walnut brown color will match any decor.. I have a country kitchen with a lot of white and it fits in perfectly. I am so happy with this set I would recommend to anyone looking for a great quality knife.

Received this in a timely manner with no damage to product. It has every knife you need . Nice looking dark wood. It also has a knife sharpener and clippers that most sets don't come with. I didn't think the knifes would be very sharp but found out the hard way while cutting a onion. They are SHARP, so be aware that if you don't watch what you're doing, you could make a mistake like I did. Would definitely recommend this set of knifes.

I received this product from the Spark Reviewer program. I love these knives. The block fits under my cabinets perfect. I use them all the time. They are VERY sharp. The walnut finish is great and earthy. It matches my kitchen so well. I used the steak knives last night. They cut so well. I am very pleased with this knife set.

I have this nice Chicago Cutlery Walnut Block Set on my kitchen counter and it looks great against my white kitchen tile. I use the steak knives almost everyday to cut fruit and vegetables and they work very well. I like the wood handles that have a comfortable grip. There's a full lifetime warranty which is very nice so I am at ease about all 15 pieces I will be frequently using. I love the shears which come in handy for cutting vacuum sealed meat packages. I haven't had to use the sharpening tool but it's nice to know it's there for future knife sharpening. Overall a really nice set!

The Chicago Cutlery set is great looking - love the wood handles and block. So far everything is great about the set - sharp blades and convenient having everything in one place and at my fingertips. As for long term use it is too early to review as I have only had the set less than two weeks.

I have a Chicago Cutlery block from 30 years ago, wood handles, still a beautiful set. So I bought one as a gift for xmas 2025. Not so good. Wood handles are just okay, they used a cheaper grade of wood so quality is less than expected. The handle on the sharpening steel is plastic (!!) and looks cheap, when it should be wood to match the other pieces. The quality of the sharpening steel is poor -- note, I am comparing this to my 30 year old set. Disappointed.

I would love to say these knives are really sharp and I love them, but honestly I was very disappointed in how sharp they are. The set looks very nice and it was all very well packed for shipping. It's an impressive looking set. But I have used the steak knives, the 2 smaller knives and the large knife on meat and veggies and I am not impressed. My old knives work better and I know they need to be sharpened.
