This dishwasher is so old that it is the "fountain" type. Worse, this is a septic tank system. Worse, due to a delicate plumbing issue, we had to drain it directly to the ground for a while, in a rural area, not many feet from a creek. "Yikes!" doesn't begin.... Even though I always rinse, I was worried that anything safe enough for this environment wouldn't get things clean the first time. Not a problem! Dishes squeak and shine. I do have to use a 2nd rinse to remove the scent from plastics, but I believe this is to do with the machine, not the pods. I have not needed to use a rinse aid, either. And no, no harm was done to the area before the plumbing issue was fixed. Not a single blade of grass was discolored, nor any ant harmed, no difference to the groundwater (tested), nor any other sign that we could find.
I am VERY happy with these tablets. I live in an area with very hard water, and I have always had to buy the blue liquid to keep my glass and silverware from getting water spots. These tablets leave behind ZERO hard water spots and don't leave any sort of film or white dust on my plates like other dishwasher soap has in the past.
We were using 7th Generation dishwasher pods before these, and let me tell you, the difference is huge. We don't rinse our dishes to save water, so we are only scraping off food scraps. 7th gen did ok, but these are like magic and work as well as any conventional, chemical dish pod option. I'm truly amazed and highly recommend them.
I had searched high and low and truly thought I would be resigned to using unsafe chemicals to get my dishes clean, or else put up with filmy plasticware. But no more! I FINALLY FOUND THE ONE! This is the only detergent I have tried (and I tried Mrs. Meyers, Method, Seventh Generation, Kirkland, Ecover, Palmolive Eco, and more!) that actually gets everything clean on the first run without that chalky white film the other detergents leave behind. This is my miracle product. I am so glad I took a chance on CleanCult. Thank you!
The first thing I noticed when I used the dishwasher tablets: no streaks on the dishes! I was a little concerned that a natural cleaner wouldn't work well in our old dishwasher but Clean Cult detergent outshines the product I'd been using for years. No spots on the glasses or utensils, no streaks on plates, no dishes that need a rinsing off. I recommend these to everyone!
Good product, cleans well. Someone else noticed it leaves a soapy film that comes out in hot drinks, and I noticed that too... makes me wonder what kind of film chemical detergents leave. Still, a great natural product and I'll definitely keep using it.
I like the paper refill packaging and the biodegradable tablet wrapper. It doesn't leave a nasty smell in my dishwasher or taste on my wine glasses like other products I've tried. My only complaint is the price but I'll probably keep buying it to support a company that is working to eliminate plastic. Four stars only because of the price.
We have used this twice and the glasses are coming out with a white film. I will try adding some white vinegar on the next cycle and see if that works... We are still deciding on this one... My husband thinks the Trader Joe's version works better.
This item should have been delivered to my mailbox by USPS yesterday, but I never received it. I would like to request a replacement item be sent to me by WalMart/Office Supply Pro as soon as possible.
box. had been damaged and repackaged. There was supposed to be 38 tablets but only had 10.
