It's pie filling canning season. This product works great.
This product works best if you are canning premade apples for apple pies.
This is what I needed to thicken my apples for canning.
Have been using this for a couple years and will always have it in my cupboard. After decades of not having a garden I got back into it last year. I used Clear Jel as the thickener in my huge batch of corn relish and in my sweet pickle relish and, as it says, they are crystal clear in my jars and they came out tasting great. I also use it in making all sorts of gravies and sauces after making meals in my Instant Pot. Just a small bit mixed in cold water makes the smoothest gravies possible. No more flour, cornstarch or other thickeners. this does the best job and no clumping.
Clear Jel is used in preserving and canning pie fillings as is will not break down during the canning process. It is not available in retail stores. It was great to find it online and the shipping was fast
Haven't had a chance to use it yet. But according to my canning group this is exactly what is needed to can pie filling. Can't wait to use it.
Works so well. We are canning peach and blueberry pie filling with Clear Jel. It sets up nicely with no starchy taste!
Ordered for canning tart cherry pie filling. Worked beautifully and plenty left for my next project. Quality product and shipped as promised.
I liked everything about it. It dissolves quickly and produces a wonderful outcome.
Delivery was great. This was my first time using clear gel. I had been led to believe it was much better than cornstarch when making pie filling and honestly I think it was about the same.
