Appearance? slight green tint(nothing left behide)? Been using CLR for a while now, haven't been disappoint with it's performance(Hence, repeated additional purchases over the YEARS). Once used it to get rust stains out of carpet in Our Suburban-light grey carpet(Husband moved an engine- nuff said) . So YES, I am confident in recommending this product. : )
I travel a lot. I would come home to a line in the bowl. I saw this and thought I would give it a try. I'm so glad I did. It removed the lime buildup and the ring in the bowl. Now before I go on vacation or if I'm away for a week or more, I pour this in the bowl and when I return there is no residue in the bowl. Just flush and you are done. No mess. I highly recommend this product.
You know when you enter the bathroom and you see the building up of lime and rust? CLR works. I had to use it 2 times and then I just had to do maintenance.
I gathered up any tools of my husband's that had rust on them. Soaked then for a half hour in the CLR then used an unused grill brush to scrub them. Every bit of rust came off like magic!
This CLR Calcium, Lime, and Rust Remover is basically a time machine for your fixtures. I used it on a faucet that looked like it had seen some things… and now it sparkles like it pays rent. Minimal scrubbing, maximum results. The smell isn't exactly a spa experience, but I'll take that over scrubbing for hours like a medieval peasant.
CLR has been my go-to, for many years, for cleaning the faucets that get clogged with hard-water deposits / scale, calcium, %26 lime (just unscrew %26 let soak in full-strength solution for a few hours). It works great to clean the dishwasher as soon as any water spots show up on glassware (read the directions on the bottle). Just great stuff, but wish it were not so expensive.
I love this stuff, helps get rid of stains and helps clear the water faucets from buildup to allow more water flow. I usually keep it on to soak for 15 minutes and scrub or rinse, but sometimes another round or longer time is needed to get stains out or get proper water flow. It's alot better than replacing parts. It does have a smell and it will be in your face when using it. But once you're done it won't linger. I recommend using dishwashing gloves when using it. It will leave a film and odor on your hands if you get it on them and if you have a cut on your finger, this will give you a burning sensation which is painful.
My toilet and shower tend to get lime buildup, and it can get pretty stubborn. This has been the best thing I've found for cutting right through it. It works quickly and leaves everything looking clean and refreshed again. I love how it brings back that nice, sparkling finish without a lot of scrubbing. Definitely a great product to have on hand if you're dealing with hard water buildup.
this completely get it the toilet stains off all other water I've ever lived with, except this move in Tucson. apparently, t this party if Tucson water contains liquid rock bc after soaking for 5 hours, in places like the very bottom of the bowl, the stains are still stuck on and have to be chipped off. but without the 5 hours 'soak it is imposable to chip them off, so it does help a lot
This item was exactly what I needed, and I'm so glad I was able to find it! It works perfectly and does exactly what it's supposed to. The price was great, making it an even better purchase. Overall, I'm very happy with it and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable item at a good value.
