The Coleman 50 Quart Xtreme 5-Wheel Cooler is super sturdy and keeps drinks cold for days. The wheels make it easy to move around, even when full, and the handle feels strong. It has plenty of space for ice, food, and drinks—great for camping or road trips. I like that the lid can also be used as a seat or table.
We purchased this ice chest because we were going camping for three days and needed something that would last for that length of time. It did fine for our 3 1/2 days, but I don't know if it would really keep items cold for the five days as stated. Nice cooler because of the adjustable handle and the drain spout is in a really good place.
We use our cooler most weekends to transport food. It works fine, but the handle doesn't make the cut. It extends and retracts with much difficulty and sometimes comes out of it's telescopic tracks. It takes a lot of effort to get it reconnected. Sometimes I have to store it differently than it's designated place.
I wish i was able to get this cooler in a different color. Black cooler, even in shade, burns through ice. I like the size of the cooler and the handle and wheels were great. After a couple trips the handle started to become corroded and difficult to open and close. The handle mount broke and the part is not available through Coleman. Now I have a wheeled cooler with a handle that is inoperative and hangs down while carrying(again, carrying a wheeled cooler).
Nice cooler, bought it specifically given the rating of a 5 day ice hold. Definitely not the case. Went camping a couple weeks ago in very mild temps. Ice only lasted 2 days
The reason I bought this cooler was for the "Ice last's 5 days" I have a business that I do with the use of a Cooler, so I purchased hoping the Ad was true. I was excited to try it. During the 1st-2nd hour of the ice being in the cooler, it melted. I thought maybe it was the type of Ice I used, so I took a 8hr ride trip. Within the 1st-2nd hour the ice was already water. & again in a 2 hour trip I took, once I poured the ice in, it melted within 20-40. Maybe theres special instructions on how to use it, But for me, it didnt work.
Not durable at all! I originally bought this for my kid's soccer games to be able to take waters meaning I have to pull this cooler through bumpy grass. This only lasted a week! I'm pretty handy, I figured I would just attach it back myself. After reviewing the hardware that held the wheels I was shocked. I posted pictures! They literally just hammer a cap on to the end of the rod and call it a day. I'm sure this is for faster production process. It sucks that now a days companies don't really care about quality and making things last!
On first use, wheel fell off the cooler. Reattached but continues to fall off. Very cheap.
This cooler says it will hold ice for 5 days, I think they meant 5 hrs - seriously, because by 24 hours 2 bags of ice had melted trying to keep a case of already cold beer cold along with some cold cuts of meat and cheese. Where was the cooler this whole time? In a trailer, out of the sun on a day where the ambient temperature never got above 80 degrees. The handle has alot of play in it too....not really confidence inspiring. I would be wary of any Coleman Product if this is now their "Extreme" products perform. Very., Very disappointing.
This is supposed to be a 5 day cooler that is a joke. I've used it for about 2 months in a range of conditions and never keeps ice over 24hrs. On one occasion I put 40lbs of ice in it and that went about 36hrs maybe. Very disappointed it must defective if not it is very poor quality it has become the joke of the camping group "coleman 5hr coolers"
