Coleman Rubber Tent Mallet

Worked well for pounding in stakes and extraction when needed.

Having the hook on the end is awesome. Makes it very east to pull my tent stakes. It would be nice if it were smaller, but is going to be great.

I love the hook on the end. I know it is for pulling out ground staples, but I use it to hang the mallet.

Not a lot one can say about a rubber tent stake mallet except that this the perfect weight to fit in my dufflebag and I thought the hook on the other end to pull up the tent stakes was a GREAT idea!!

This guy is the perfect tool for the job. I use it to close up long term storage buckets, works perfectly making the job much easier.

The black rubber hammer works great - basically hammer the stokes without damaging them. However, the metal hook got twisted with the first time I tried to pull out the stoke from the ground - cheap poor metal that can't stand a bit of force.

The hook snapped in half while attemping to pull a peg out of the ground. The rubber mallet works okay, but often falls off because it is not attached to the wooden handle. I assume that is by design, as the mallet is meant to function as a mallet and tent peg remover. The design and construction could be better.

Both ends broke on first use. First, the mallet end flew off while I was hammering a tent stake into very soft, muddy ground (it had just rained). Then, the tent peg hook bent while I was trying to remove a tent stake from the same very soft, muddy ground. I am very disappointed in my purchase and this was absolutely not the quality I have come to expect from Coleman. I would give zero stars if I could.

This mallet is poor junk. Head came off second stake in, hook came apart first stake out. I understand its a $4 item. But this $4 item nearly ruined my camping trip. Walmart or Colemen should be contacting all customers that purchased this and make amends.

Hook for pulling stakes snapped off on the first stake I tried to pull! Looks like I'll have to repair it with a hook of my own
