Colgate Total Whitening Toothpaste, Gel 3.3 oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love a great whitening toothpaste as I do not get whitening treatments at the dentist. This Colgate toothpaste works really well and helps my mouth and teeth feel extremely clean. I would recommend and repurchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically use Crest for no particular reason, but I'm glad I was able to try this Colgate product. Refreshing aftertaste, with no burn. Teeth and mouth felt and looked clean. I didn't see any significant whitening more than any other brand of whitening toothpaste.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoyed this toothpaste! I usually use more all natural toothpastes because I don't like sulfates and they usually cause irritation. However this toothpaste was not overly strong or irritating, and it had a pleasant mint flavor. I liked how it emphasized the benefits rather than whitening, because whitening isn't very good for your teeth anyways.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed the Colgate Total toothpaste. The flavor / taste was refreshing. I did notice that the actual flavor (minty) was not included or noted on the box. I was also impressed with the amount of foam it produced when bruching.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did not notice any difference in the color of my teeth. I did enjoy the freshness and clean feeling this toothpaste left. I used this toothpaste for several weeks and saw no difference, so I would not recommend it for whitening.

I bought mutipacks of what I THOUGHT were the same product, only to find upon using it that it was NOT what I had. I compared the ingredient list, and there were several changes, DESTROYING a product that I have used for years. Not only is the taste vile now, it feels like it's burning my mouth. I have 5 unopened tubes of this crap now, plus the opened one. What a waste of money. I'll be donating these in the hopes that other people will be able to use them without wanting to rip their mouths off. Way to go, Colgate. What even is the point of making such significant changes to a perfectly good product?

Incredibly disappointed. I've been using the OLD version of this product for SEVEN YEARS, constantly getting complements on how white my teeth are and actually unintentially promoted it nonstop. I have Sjögren's (dry mouth) so am very prone to cavities, but the OLD version saved my teeth. THEN THEY CHANGED IT. Within one week of using the new formula, my teeth yellowed and I developed a dark STAIN on my front tooth, and my breath smelled after a night's sleep! Fortunately I found two bottles of the OG and after FIVE DAYS of using the OG, my teeth went back to being white. Can't even begin to describe the taste and smell of the new one. The fluoride added to the new product has sooooo many adverse reactions for many people! PLEASE BRING BACK THE OG!!!

Used this for the first time this morning. I spent a good while trying to figure out why I smelled something odd until I finally realized it was coming from my mouth. I feel like I owe an apology to my physical therapist and anyone else whose direction I breathed in this morning. It's not expired or anything. Just gross.

I recently received a new order of my longtime favorite toothpaste/gel combo only to find the packaging which has been changing slightly over the paste few years has a brand new formula inside. I've been using this Colgate gel plus whitening paste since it came to fruition. No offense but this new formula sucks. It doesn't give you the same amazingly clean feeling I used to get. Even my dentists couldn't understand why my teeth were always so clean and white, without whitening treatments. This formula is just bad and really disappointing. I've referred so many people to the previous formula and everyone has been hooked. I'm not sure what prompted the change but I hope you are prompted to put it back because this is no good. I but these buy the 4 pack so now I stuck with this new formula. Do i need to buy 4 Colgate total plain paste to mix it myself? This is such a strange change to the most perfect product. I feel like every company is trying to cut costs and i get it but this is crazy. It doesn't even taste good anymore. Ugh. Frustrated.

I have been buying Colgate Total gel toothpaste for years. I was very disappointed with the new formula. The mint flavor is overpowering and unpleasant. And my teeth don't seem as clean. Why did you change it?
