It's exactly what I expected. They're the perfect sizes, and they nest together. They are are easy to clean, very heavy duty - but surprisingly light weight, and since they nest together, they don't take up much space. I really appreciate that in my small kitchen.

I already had some 'Coliware' stainless steel baking pans that are superlative quality, so I trusted the maker for tarnish-free SS. My most-used and favorite little 1-1/2 quart US made mixing bowl had gone missing, perhaps with a lady friend, and I also wanted a bigger bowl for seasoning and tossing popcorn. I bought the Coliware set for the 1.5 quart and the 4.6 quart, since I already had a good selection of the middle sizes. Coliware does not include lids, though the generic 'kitchen tools' box does mention lids somewhere. The little paper identifies the actual contents, which is bowls only. Remember: No lids included! Break out the Saran wrap. The interiors are highly polished, along with the raised band at the outside rims. The lower part of the exterior is a brushed satin. Looking from the outside reveals a concave bottom, with a corresponding convex center, on the inside. They are quite stable compared to my vintage bowls, which are wobbly, due to lack of a concave surface on the bottoms. The metal is not quite as heavy as older US made bowls, but seems more than adequate for the task. I was unable to flex the 4.6 quart bowl at all, and believe it would require deliberate abuse or uncommon accident to deform the bowls. If a person needs more than one size of mixing bowls, the Coliware set is an attractive economical choice. I am quite pleased with the purchase. Please excuse the hard water spots and grubby fingerprints in the photos.

Some reviewers complain that they are so light. I like that about them. Maybe if you dropped one, it might bend out of shape, so I don't plan on doing that. I love the way they nest. I like that they are stainless and brushed on the outside. I am using them for mixing and for safer refrigerator storage. My favorite is the smallest one, which is the perfect depth for whisking a couple of eggs without splashing out of the bowl.

Great addition to my young adult's small apartment. The nesting bowls save a lot of space, don't absorb food odors, and are durable. Overall nice set of stainless steel bowls!

The only thing I was confused about was, I had thought they came with lids, but that was just by looking at the image quickly, and clearly my fault. I just wanted to let everyone know that there are no lids included.

This set of 5 stainless steel mixing bowls is good quality. Thus far, scratch resistant. Lightweight. Easy to clean. Dishwasher safe. Safe alternative to plastic.
