While this spinner is a little more money wise, it is worth every penny. It's easy to use and does the job wonderfully. The main trick is if there is water at the bottom of your clear bowl after spinning, you must dump the water out and spin lettuce again till no water is at the bottom of the bowl.

my only con is that its a little pricey. 5 stars for everything else. i hate soggy lettuce so in turn i hate washing my lettuce. this pulls all water off so i dont have that issue and its easy to use that even my 4 year old helps me with washing fruits and veggies.

My previous salad spinner broke on me. I've had it for a little over 10 years so when I saw it when I was shopping the other day through my Walmart account I saw it it was my previous salad spinner broke on me. Well, they did and I was very pleased that not only did they have one they were several I could pick and choose from and as I had hoped it was delivered to my home with my groceries that same day I'm very pleased with the product and I'm more than pleased that I was able to get it delivered to my house the same day in time for dinner.

I was advised to get this salad spinner by the ATK team of cooks and kitchen tool critique professionals and I am so happy I listened to them. This brand is the best salad spinner and I love it.

I ordered online for pickup, so I had no idea how big this salad spinner would be! That's not necessarily a bad thing, but if you're limited on storage, I would get OXO's smaller version. I previously had a cheaper spinner that was cheaply made and had a terrible spinning handle that broke all the time, so I knew I wanted one with a push button. This one will last much longer.

I love my OXO Salad Spinner. I used an old salad spinner for years. It had a crank on top that you rotated to make the colander chamber spin. It was a royal pain. The pump on the OXO Spinner is a wonderful improvement. When I spin it, it reeks of quality. It throws water off of the salad greens better than any other salad spinner that I have used. I'll spin %26 then shake the colander about 3 times. After that, the greens are (almost)completely dry. The bowl makes a nice salad bowl. I'm very pleased with this purchase. I would not recommend the the Small OXO Salad Spinner. It was just too small - even for 1 person. If you want to use it to clean fresh herbs, it would probably be fine.

Pro. Good drying ability for small lots. Eady to press down to spin the vegetables. Do not need to use in a sink since the excess wayer is captured in the enclosure. Seems to be made well using plastic, not glass or metal. Reasonable price. The top locks sown taking less storage space. Con. The center top can not be used so the space is slightly less. Need to remove spinning basket to empty water each time,

Cannot get fast enough spin to get lettuce dry. It was all soggy and barely usable. My last spinner was a pull string cheap one from Walmart and it lasted a very long time.i would trash this one if it hadn't cost so much!

I try not to give bad reviews, but this product didn't do what the post described in a few important ways. Before buying this, I thought it was a more efficient way to wash and dry lettuce/produce, but the only thing I was able to change, since I already wash my produce by hand in a colander, is the drying process. This gadget spins the produce around and it drains in the bowl the colander sits in, similar to the spin cycle in a washing machine. Unfortunately, it doesn't dry my produce any better or faster than just dabbing it with a paper towel. The second problem happened when I let it go through a dishwasher cycle. Even though it was in the top rack, the bowl came out misshapen so now the lid and bowl don't fit together, which is important for something that operates by moving air. The result is that now the black button won't go down to spin the colander. It's completely stuck. And this is only about the 5th time I've used it. It may be past the point of being able to return it, but I'm still going to try. This is supposed to be a dishwasher safe product and $30 is a higher price for this kind of product. My experience has been that it hasn't lived up to that. I don't even want a replacement.
