I dyed my hair deep burgandy and turned out very black. Not a good color on me at all. Color oops made my hair look like I spent a lot of money on highlights. It turned out better than I ever thought it would. Some people say the smell is bad but I didn’t was that bad at all. I have hair dyes that smell a lot worse. The more you rinse out the lighter it will be. Try to rinse as evenly as possible. Mine turned out great. I am seriously thinking of using it when I want more highlights when I dye my hair again. I recommend this.
I have used this product several times in the last few years. It works, but you do need to leave it on a lot longer than 20 minutes if you are looking to lift any good amount of color. I left in on for 1 hour and used a blow dryer to activate it twice in that hour. When I have used it in the summer, sitting outside in the sun helps, too. I have had to keep it in for almost 2 hours before to achieve the lighter color that I needed. I had several colors of dark brown in my hair this time and I needed to lighten it to start all over with an even medium brown color. This did the trick. 1st pic is my starting color (white shirt) 2nd/3rd pic is the color after 1 hour of Oops. 4th picture is after dying again the same day (with dog). I will say it does dry your hair out, but after washing the Oops out, I always use a powerful conditioner (like what comes with box hair dye) to help put moisture back in. My hair is always healthy and soft afterwards if I condition it well.
I had put 2 different colors on my hair over several days and wanted it back to my original color. Thats what I was hoping for. It was very easy to apply used the cap and it came out better than I had hoped for. So glad I BOUGHT this! It saved me money and time.
I have 23 inch long hair with a decade of dark box dye over it. I bought two boxes of this and put them both on at the same time. I made sure to get every strand. I put a shower cap over while I waited. I could not believe the results. Yes it was an orangey yellow but i expected an ugly color. None of the bix dye color remained. I cannot stress enough how well this worked. The smell was not as bad as some of the reviews state but I went into this experience not expected harsh chemicals to smell good. Perhaps others should do the same. I'll use this again in the future if need be. Followed by bleach %26 developer this product is a must have.
I own one loan for 25 years. I’m retired now but oops is a great product. Does not damage your hair. There’s no bleach and no harsh chemicals. It does the job. I’m very sick on a lot of medicine not much hair left but the hair I have I keep a colored and professional And oops with me every step of the way so yes, I would recommend oops to everybody. I’ve been using it for several years now almost 8 years I’ve been using this haven’t worked since 2010.
Okay, so this was far from the first time I've used color oops. I have a bad habit of deciding I'll go back to my natural hair color and dye my hair chestnut brown for half a year before deciding I wanna be a red head again. That means I need to use color oops. It's really easy to use, though it takes forever. You have to apply it to your head, wait 20 minutes in a room that is warm (or you can gently heat process this, I guess), and then spend then next 30 minutes shampooing and rinsing your hair. Go ahead and save yourself the heartache of having to do this more than once and grab yourself a GOOD clarifying shampoo. And then also grab yourself a good hair mask (or just repurpose one of those tubes of conditioners from hair dye kits.) It's sulfur based, so it smells like bad eggs and you'll just kinda need to live with that until the next day. So don't like, do this the day of a big date. I don't think it's particularly damaging, provided you follow the instructions. Your hair will feel a little tiny bit dry for the first couple days, but my hair always bounces back just fine, it's not like bleaching it where your hair permanently feels like straw or anything.
I have gray hair. And I decided I wanted to color it a dark blonde or a light brown. But the color I bought was much too dark. I looked online for what could take the color out and saw this. And lo and behold it worked. I'm not back to gray, but I am right now a very dark blonde. I am very pleased with this.
Please read the instructions!!! I have used it before and it works every time. Yes, it doesn't smell good but the smell goes away in a day or two, depending on how often you wash your hair. It's not harsh like the bleach of course. Easy to use, definitely will be using it again since I like to change my hair color quite often 🫣
I love Oops color remover. I color my hair in rainbow colors, but they fade within two months. I use Oops to remove the leftover color so that I can apply new color. It is easy to use and has never caused any reactions on my scalp. It is worth the money and very effective.
didnt do anything. got it because i was trying to avoid straight up bleach. now the purple is slightly reddish and my hair smells like eggs 😭 do not recommend. wish i could get my money back.
