Comet 21oz Lemon Scented Multipurpose Cleaning Powder with Bleach

my grandma taught me to clean with Comet almost 50 years ago and I'm still using it in my kitchen and bathroom, because it's still a great product and gets the job done! I also love that it's affordable still!

Fufillment was fast. Ordering was easy. Product as expected. I've used this for at least 65 years (my mom made us clean the tub with Comet, which is way too abrasive for our new new polished cast iron tub; I would not recommend Comet for a newer bath tub). We use Comet to clean kitchen and bathroom sink, both of which are ancient fixtures. It has bleach and removes stains and gunk, but requires a lot of elbow grease. I especially like the lemon version which is a newer invention.

Best and cheapest bathroom cleaner around. Can be used in sinks, showers, baths, and toilets. Does a great job at scrubbing off built-up grime or toothpaste and leaves a pleasant smell. No need for a bunch of expensive chemicals when this does it all.

Use this when tougher scouring is needed on surfaces that can take the abrasion. Most times I first try a scrubbie sponge (has a coarse nylon side). If that fails, I try a Magic Eraser pad. Next I try Bartender's Friend which is a very mild abrasive with oxalic acid. I used to use Bon Ami (no acid), but that is way too expensive. If that fails, and the surface is durable, I try the soaped steel wool pads. My non-stick ceramic cookware says I can use metal utensils, but I don't, and I scrub lightly while watching the surface when using the steel wool pads. Lastly I'll try Comet since it is the most abrasive, but not on my ceramic cookware, but yes on glassware or cast iron. How abrasive I'm willing to try depends on the surface. For my plastic laundry tub, Magic Eraser and Bartender's Friend are as abrasive as I'll go. For my ceramic non-stick cookware, I'll stop at trying soaped steel wool. For cast iron pans, or glass, or anything that can endure more abrasion, I'll use Comet which is the most abrasive. I'll have to re-season the cast iron pans afterwards, but better that than leaving food residue. I sometimes cook at too high a heat, and get burned-on food even on the non-stick ceramic cookware that is tough to remove. I rarely have stainless cookware, but do when I travel where a resort has a full kitchen. I buy cheap metal pans since I'm gone in a week, and the pans I buy get trashed at the end of the vacation. Everything sticks to that unless using a lot of oil which I don't like for taste, so this will clean those pans regardless of what stuck to them. This has bleach which you can obviously smell, doesn't irritate my hands, but I make sure not to splash it on my clothes. I make sure to thoroughly rinse anything on which this was used, and wash my hands to eliminate any bleach residue and smell. This is coarse stuff, so be sure the cleaned surface is durable enough to resist damage from the grit. Works well on cleaning those rusty tools, too. Works as a rubbing compound, and can be used as a dry powder or wet as a paste.

Good old Comet. Works well %26 disinfects bowls. My Mom used %26 I do too. Since 70's-now. Only problem is the sticker on top on this one won't stick so if it tips over Comet spills out. Usually the top sticker stays put over the holes. Not sure why this can doesn't. Otherwise fine.

I like the product, but when I got it home, I noticed it was busted open at the top. This was a curbside order, so I didn't know it was like this until I got home.

Came damaged.

Damaged busted up can. Delivery order and this is what I received. The price point is great and the product itself works. But what's the point if you have to go through the hassle of returning and ultimately needing to buy something else. Do yourself a favor and go in store to pick out your items. I don't recommend getting them delivered. Also…I don't know why in the world anyone would think it's a good idea to put comet with bleach inside the SAME bag as medicine is beyond me. The comet should have been a bag by itself. Wal-Mart please do better.

Ridiculous price! I bought this item for $15 because I thought it was coming in a bigger container but it was a regular size and I could have bought this at the dollar store for about $4. Shame on the seller for hiking the price up that way. Wish I could rate 0 stars.
