I began a return. I was sent an email telling me to return the item to the store by a specific date. When I took this UNOPENED item to the store and showed them the return code I had been sent, they told me they couldn't return it because it was "out of date". I showed them the email I received with the specific date and they said, "It won't allow me to override and allow you to return this item." They (I tried 4 different customer service persons) all said, "it was in the computer, and they could do nothing to allow me to return it." I called WalMart's online help, and got AI to talk with me for 15 minutes, but AI finally got tired of getting the "wrong answer" I guess, and hung up on me. The in-store customer service person %234, who I spoke to after the AI encounter, tole me to keep say "representative" anytime AI asked me a question. After being asked about a dozen questions, and only getting "representative" for an answer, AI transferred me to a live person. This live person was very nice, but told me there was no way they would be able to take the item back because it was outside of the 90-day return window, even though I received an email with the "allowable" return by date.
I was told, the only way I could get money back on this mattress topper was to order something else, and when it was delivered to me I was supposed to lie about my order being damaged or bad in some way, and speak to a supervisor if I had trouble getting money back. I didn't think I should have to lie to get money back when I had followed the instructions sent to me about how to return the topper. This was a very weird day of trying to follow return instructions for an unopened item, and wasting HALF MY DAY. I cannot review the actual item because I never took it out of the box. BUT do not trust this seller, even though they are a PRO SELLER, they wouldn't respond to my calls or the emails I sent them.
