Great scratcher! Tough cardboard, very little shedding. I just laid it on the floor and my cat loves to lay on it and scratch, he's a lazy bum...lol. I've had it for months and it still looks almost new., it's my cat's favorite scratcher. I highly recommend!
I have have a cat that started scratching up interior door frames, I introduced this and he is limiting his door frame attention to this scratching post especially when the cat nip is sprinkled in the cardboard.
Though our cats refuse to use the upper half we plan to flip it when it wears down. How ever it's lasting far longer than the cheaper ones and they love it. They have stopped truing to kill the carpeted stairs and corner of the bed in preference for this and the cat tree.
This is, by far, the BEST cat scratcher that I have come across !!! It was easy to assemble and my "picky" cat took to it immediately. I had a question about the scratcher and contacted the seller. I was absolutely AMAZED at the level of their customer service !!! Communication was FAST and extremely helpful !!! It's rare nowadays to find good customer service but, this company goes above and beyond !!! I would highly recommend this product !!!
first of all it's $13. it's smaller than I thought but everything is in life. I don't think it's going to last very long with my four cats. I like it because it's going to keep the cats from scratching the furniture, however I don't really believe it will last my four heathens LOL :-). I think it's a fair value for the 13 bucks. very simple to put it together if I can figure it out everybody can figure it out. it's very nice looking. so would I recommend it yes and no. yes because it's 13 bucks and it looks nice. no because it's not going to last long it's smaller than I thought. and yes because it will keep my four cats occupied till I can come up with something else
I was a little startled that I had to assemble the product, but at that price, it was fair. A durable product once assembled. You can buy refills according to my understanding. Do, it was a good deal. The cardboard did have a strong chemical smell though. Cats are very sensitive to smell. The cats are using it, once they figured out what it was they sharpen their claws on it or just get spunky with it.
It’s pretty basic but that’s reflected in the price. It’s one of the more affordable option. It does smell bad, it has a bad fishy smell when I unpacked it and put it outside for a while to air out but the smell won’t dissipate. It’s in a side room now so our cat uses it there.
This saved my walls, furniture, and so much more. My cat instantly went to scratch on it and up it. The only problem is it doesn't stay put and can move away from wall causing banging. I only deducted one star because the cardboard is heavy duty and she loves it!
I purchased this cat scratcher to place next to the arm of a leather couch to try to get my cats to stop scratching there. I have put the fabric protectors on there already, the sticky kind, but they started to scratch through that. This was easy to assemble. But during the first day, the bottom broke in half. On the 2nd day, the wood piece on the bottom also broke. Now I have an expensive piece of cardboard laying on the floor...with no couch protection. I do not recommend this product as it has zero durability. Using a cardboard box would be a better option.
very flimsy. Fwlll apart after 2 days. i kept the cardboard pieces and put inside of a box for my cats. The cardboard is good but the apparatus is not.
